All I can say is WOW. That was bad. 17 out of 10,000 made it through. But I heard Seattle wasn't much better. What about juggler boy. Whata cry baby. He acts like that because his mom is over there telling him he is going to be famous. Yeah. Famous for being a cry baby!!

A girl I know back home actually went to the Target Center to try out-she said the process is really odd, not everyone that goes there gets to audition infront of Randy, Paula & Simon.
my firend did the one in cleveland a couple years ago and there are like 3 other judging sessions you have to get thru to get in front of Simon and crew- although I think they send some in for comic relief
and ratings of course!

As a side note - did any of you notice the changes in the judges? (Besides Paula being drunk or high on something again.
) My kids and I were talking about Simon and Randy. It almost seems as if they've swapped personalities. Simon was rather nice last night. He was the first many times to say the person was in. Randy on the other hand was ruthless! My kids said they started to see a change like that a little bit last season, but this season was really different they thought. Almost seems like Simon has backed off a bit and Randy's had enough of the tone deaf.

I'm with you on this one. I love watching the auditions, then I don't watch another episode until they are down to like the last 6 or 8 finalists. I just don't like any of the stuff in between.Originally Posted by maddensmom

to me, it seems like when Randy lays into someone, Simon replies by saying how rude, or whatever, but he only says nice things when Randy says bad things

I missed it last night. I am glad it will be on again tonight. I asw the girl that left Simon speechless this morning online. She was AWFUL! Was there anyone that was any good last night?

I know someone who's cousin tried to audition and the basic gist of it is if you aren't good for ratings Ie: comical (like the juggler or wookie), good (didn't see any really) or have a dramatic life (like the crack baby)... then you won't make it very far at all.
