We thought the foster mom would call last night to set up delivery, but she did not. All we can assume at this point is that she (she being the kitten and not the foster mom) has come down with the cold that her sisters had. In that case she'll call us when theyr'e feeling better I'm sure.

I would like if she called us regardless. I would like to know how she's doing. I would call her but I don't want to be a pest.

As far as names go, we THINK we've settled on Leeloo.

Oh, they haven't called yet?

I dont think you'd be a pest- it shows that you care!

Lets hope the little one hasn't come down with a cold- but if she has, lets hope she feels better soon!

I'd say if you don't hear from her by today-maybe drop her an email or a phone call, just to check things out

Whoops, I think I updated in another thread. I got an email from the foster mom on Thursday. All of the kittens have colds right now and she's keeping them until they're nursed back to health. Probably best since Anya doesn't need a cold.
I also went Thursday morning with Anya to her vet and got her tested for FIV and Feline leukemia. The test came back negative.

Haven't heard from the foster mom since then though. I asked her to keep me updated. I hope our new baby girl feels well enough to come "home" this weekend.

So still no word from the new kitty's foster mom since LAST WEDNESDAY.

I've email and let them know that we had Anya tested for FIV and feline leukemia and that those tests were negative, as ewll as inquiring about the kitten's health.

I called yesterday and left a voicemail asking how she was doing, and also if she had any favorite toys since we were on our way to Petco to pick up some new things for her.

No response yet.
I'm a little frustrated.

The foster mom called me tonight. ALL the kittens are sick. They have snotty noses, goopy eyes, she's feeding them via syringe because they can't smell and don't want to eat...it's bad.

She's taking them to an eye specialist tomorrow about the goopy eyes.

They're all on antibiotics as well and that's giving them diarrhea.

She told me it will be "a few more days" and if I change my mind about the kitten since I have to wait she'll understand.
Who changes their mind about wanting to adopt a kitten because they can't have it RIGHT NOW? And why would she want to adopt to those people anyway?

So we're waiting patiently, and praying that the kittens pull through okay. Please put them, and their poor stressed foster mom, in your prayers.

Sorry if this is in this thread Emily, but have you actually even held/seen your baby yet in person?

Yep. We went to an adoption event and I took her out of the cage and held her. She snuggled into my arms and buried her little head in my shirt.
I held her for a long time and petted her. She's the sweetest little thing.
