Hobbs is a rescue, but mostly indoor now. Therefore he still gets the biggest urges to go outdoors. So using a harness, it took 1 or 2 times just to get him to not walk close to the ground as if it was crippling him
Also, I dont really "walk" him. Might be the opposite. If I tried to pull him he just flops over and stays there. So I just wait until he wants to move and then we go. If I dont want him to go someplace I just hold the leash firmly until he realizes that he isnt getting anywhere, and he just moves in a direction where there is no resistance! It takes a lot of patience though
