Every last one of my kitties would've been dead. They all have their various ways....deafness & blindness causing them to be hit by cars. Lily & Dory were in tough shape when I got them.

8-Bit would have been PTS by a shelter in Akron. He was headed there before he chose us.

Scratch would have ended up with his foster Mom. I'd like to think that he would have had a good life with her, but I'm not too sure.

Here... or There... Hmmm
Kitters definatly would not be as loved and spoiled as she is with me and my DH. She was obviously abused to be thrown out to begin with so it could only get better for her. But she sure did luck out with me and my DH! She rules the roost for sure!

Daisy would have drowned, our daughter pulled her out of a river just as she was about to go over a weir.

I wonder that. Easy came to me lost and pregnant, she would have more than likely had her baby's on the streets and there is no telling what would have happened.

I think about that alot, and it actually made me cry once. I just thought about how I am everything to Trout, and I am the only one to make sure she has the best possible life she can have...All she has is me
It actually brought me to tears one time because we are so lucky to have eachother, and I would hate to think of anyone not treating her as she deserves. And of course I would be lost without her

And those beautiful babies definately don't belong out there on the streets, they belong in your home, ruling the roost!

sephie probably would have been squashed by a cat. Gabriel and Orion would have found other homes since they were at the humane society (although i know that some of the animals trapped with him had found homes and the ones that were too "wild" were pts
) and the vet's office. Isis would have died a few weeks later had we not been there and taken her to the vet for her asthma.

Who knows with Bump Bump, he had obviously strayed from his mum at a very young age and was just looking for warmth, I doubt he would have made it very long

Mag's was scrawny but didn't look too badly kept, so we think he may have belonged to someone at some point, but he was roaming the streets and just decided to jump in the window, some other people may not have been as nice as Matt was to feed him and keep him.

Boomer would have gone to wherever 'free to a good home' kittens go, most of them were on the streets not long after.

Scully was destined for a shelter, and with his health problems (and size), probably deemed unadoptable and PTS

All of mine would either be living horrible lives on the street or dead. All except Palekana were neighborhood strays who were brought to my backyard by their moms. If I had not been willing to feed them and take them in they would have met the fate of most other stray, unwanted kitties. I eventually trapped one of the moms and my neighbor trapped the other. Both were spayed and released and both disappeared not long after.

I found Palekana outside my then workplace. She had obviously had some human contact because she was not afraid to approach a group of us who were leaving work. I know there was a feral colony in the area so she may have had contact with the people who were feeding the colony. She was very small and underweight for her age so I don't know how long she would have lasted if I didn't take her.

The saddest "what if" is Ophelia, who would have been a nuisance "bad smell" in an apartment building. She was trapped between apartments in the wall, crying and crying for her mother who couldn't get to her. We busted a hole in the wall to get her out, and we never saw Mama cat around at all, though we did hear her outside once or twice.

Trent was a little black kitten in a pet store
at the first of October. I would hope that someone responsible would have bought him, but you never know. They didn't screen us at all - just pay the money and here's your kitten.

Ginger would be somewhere in Ohio, most likely in the Cincinnati area, and I'm sure Eileen would have found her a wonderful home. I'm sure glad she's here with us, though. One of the other options was for Eileen's cousin to keep Ginger as an outside kitty, but I know she's much more comfortable napping on the couch on a nice blanket in a sunbeam.

Mojo was rescued from a kill shelter by the rescue we adopted her from. She had stolen a lot of hearts of the people who worked at the rescue and at Petsmart. In fact, one of the guys who work there said that he was going to put in the application for her, but that was the day that they took her off the available list because they had discovered that she was a girl. Lucky for us, we were there when the Every Creature Counts rep came in and took her to Banfield for a little shave to make sure she was spayed. She was, and we put in the application.
But being with a good no-kill rescue, I'm sure she would have found a good home. Just not the right home - the right home is with us.

Blaze would have met the same fate as her litter mate and wound up dead, from lack of food.Since they were dumped.
Corwin, would have been eaten by the stray dogs since his owners didn't care one way or the other. And the three girls, I would hope they would have been adopted since they came from the shelter.

Yes, I wonder about it. All mine were rescues or strays or feral. I know they're very happy here, I try to make it as comfortable for them as I can, putting cat beds in the closets and on shelves in my linen closet and on my kitchen table (I don't eat there anyway and there's a nice window they can look out) and in my computer desk, and anywhere else I can stuff a bed. They get the best food, warm house, out of the elements, lots of love...they've got it GOOD!!!

All of mine would have ended up reproducing...a few might have had a shot at another home(the ones I got as kittens from ppl...the two litters I have would have turned feral and had no chance) In general most would be dead by now. sad to think about cause right now there is so many semi ferals/ferals outside and so slim they will ever have this life

Considering ALL of mine were born in my closet... I am fortunate enought to know every moment of thier lives..I was also VERY careful with Tiger's littermates before I adopted them out.
I still get emails from everyone with pictures of them... I'll have to post them one day

Well I think Buddy would have been a feral cat and molly would have been a stray. It makes me sad thinking of what kind of life they would have had outside.

Sho had a horrible URI when I got him, without vet care I'm not sure he would have made it. Tomas was found outside at 10wks old and two days before a bad winter storm, with no mama cat to keep him warm he would have froze.
