Abby, my 13 year old parrot is quite sick.
With no avian vets nearby, I'm doing what I can for her.
She's in the hospital cage here, with a heating pad, food and water, and she's on clavamox.
Unfortunately, by the time birds are this visibly ill and weak, it's usually too late to do much for them.
I'm hoping she pulls through, but if she does not, I'm hoping for her to go quickly and easily.

This is still quite a shock to me as she was quite her normal self last night when I put them to bed.
Murphy, my other bird, is fine, but confused as to why the other cage is empty.

Poor Abby! What kind of parrot? I'll keep my fingers crossed for her... I know how hard it is when you watch a bird get sick. They are so full of life, then all of a sudden you know they are at death's door... they hide it too well. And giving them medicine only stresses them out further.

They sell some slurry food online... you might try syringe feeding him if he doesn't eat. It's good you're keeping him warm, too... I find a heating pad easier to use than a water bottle.

*hugs*

I actually keep baby oatmeal and parrot weaning formula on hand for emergencies.
She's a quaker that I rescued 7 years ago.
She doesn't stress from getting medicated, she's always been very good about taking things from droppers.
She's still drinking and she did take two bites of her oatmeal.
She's still puffed up and very sleepy, but she has stopped shivering.

Aww sweetie, I'm so sorry.

Birds are so tough that way, one minute their fine and the next their not. I know how hard it can be.

Tons of vibes and prayers coming your way. Hoping for a full recovery!
