I had to use the pills (i think it was 30 or something like that in less than an hour and then after i finished those- they gave me two dulcolax to get rid of anything left in my system) It's not too bad- just try and stay really hydrated. You're going to be just fine sweetie. I can honestly say i've been there several times...so i understand
It'll be over with soon before you know it! Tell Jerry to take good care of you for all of us

Good luck with the test! I have to give out those laxatives to patients before some tests and man, I feel so bad for them.

There is one laxative, and I hope it's not the one you have to take, called "Golytely". There is nothing "light" about it!!!! The person has to drink 3 litres of the stuff and it tastes super salty I've had so many patients not be able to drink it and keep it down that I usually encourage them to let me put in a nasogastric tube so I can administer it to them that way which is more comfortable for all of us. Anyway, I sure hope that isn't the stuff you have to take!

I have first hand experience with the Golytely, its the saltiness that makes it hard to keep down....Peglyte is a similar substance, except not as horrid tasting. Might not be the nicest, but they are the best colon cleansers without a chance of dehydration....
Good luck at the end of this week, tis only a short while of discomfort really

That's what I thought! I hope your colonoscopy isn't too horrible & it goes quickly.
