Hi I know that cats hate the smell of citrus.Well my mother was cleaning out the cat's letterbox and I told her before don't use a citrus cleaner cats don't like it.Well she did use a citrus cleaner and now TREASURE won't use the litter box.I know about the urinary blockage problem he's had about with that it nearly killed him and took to the vet to make sure it hadn't reoccurred and it hadn't.I know a cat's smell is alto keener then ours. But is there anyway that I can get rid of the citrus smell so that he will use the litter box again?I tried rewashing it.And he still won't use it.Iam wondering if the reason why he won't use the letterbox again is because he is now associating it with that bad experience of the citrus smell.TREASURE has always grown up with the dome letterbox and I am wondering if I am going to have to use a litter pan instead now as result of all of this?

If I were you I would get a second litter box and see if he will use that. ANd keep trying to clean the original one. But sometimes cats won't use one that they associate with pain.

You could also try putting a little of the dirty litter back in there (if you still have it) to see if that will attract him back. In the meantime, definitely get a second box so he has somewhere that he can go.
