Munich was the last thing I saw too and thought much the same thing

I just saw The Holiday, before Christmas (with Jude Law, Cameron Diaz) and it was THE BEST movie I've seen in a very long time!

I liked it, it was a weird one though.
Was that where there's a shortage of meat so the butcher is secretly chopping up people?

I saw Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest last night and loved it. I find it's a very entertaining series.
Haven't been to the theatre in ages, we just rent.

We don't go out to the movies very much either-our last was also Pirates of the Carribean-Dead Man's chest. I must have been the #9 person to see Memoirs of a Geshia as I rented it after Christmas -it was very good (but long). The small video store were I rent doesn't ever get the cool foreign films though.

I loved it! We never go to the movies anymore, but wait for stuff to be released on DVD. I'm really into "Easterns", so I was familiar with the 3 female leads, plus the guy who played the "Chairman". That's definitely a film I'll watch again.
We watched "Julie Walking Home", aka "The Healer", a Canadian/Polish production, last night. It was rather "European". The subject-matter was a bit depressing (a couple dealing with infidelity, anti-Semitism, and the impending loss of a child to cancer), which I thought was wonderfully well-directed and acted.

The last movie I went to was either Casino Royale or Little Children...I saw them both recently. Casino Royale was pretty good, it was a good Bond movie, and this one was entertaining and had all the usual 007 gadgets, cars, explosions, etc.

Little Children was FANTASTIC. Wonderful film...I can see it getting some Oscar nominations, perhaps.

I just love these movies. Amelie was a great film. Sorry to go on and on about it!!
I need to get City of Lost Children, then!!! I LOVED Amelie and A Very Long Engagement (but Amelie was better and is one of my all-time favorites)

I just saw Pan's Labrynth It was wonderful, the premis was very interesting. Although I was not expecting that it was going to be in Spanish, but the subtitles were large and you were able to read them and follow the story.

I saw the last X-Men, I forget the title, at the theater, and I really liked it. I got the dvd of The Devil Wears Prada, and it was ok. It never quite got off the ground for me.

Last movie in a theater was Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Chest. I really didn't like it. DVD was Little Miss Sunshine which I loved.

Oh it's great. Came out awhile ago, a very strange movie. I loved it! It's about a mad scientist who can dream and because of that, he has aged really fast. So he kidnaps local children to steal their dreams and live longer...

it's good, trust me.

Did you like it? I thought the story was great but overall, the acting was bad and kind of cheesy. And there were four great well known actors in it, but I didn't think they acted very well. Even Kate Winslet wasn't great and I LOVE her!

I just saw Children of Men. It was amazing!
I saw Children of Men on it's opening night and I wished I'd gotten there earlier. I think if I'd had better seats, it would have been easier just to concentrate on the movie.

I really enjoyed the movie it's self. I found it truely disturbing and realistic. The ending was a little disappointing though. Hubby thinks there will be a second...but I don't know.

I really want to see a whole bunch of movies that are out right now. Rocky Balboa(sp?), Stomp the Yard, Blood Diamond, Charlotte's Web, The Pursuit of Happines, one with Bruce Willis and Justin Timberlake and The Holiday.

One's I'm going to go on opening night are: Shrek 3, the next Harry Potter (in july) Spiderman 3

Cameron Diaz was awful, but I feel like she basically always is. Kate Winslet aand jack Black were both cute, but when you compare this movie to films like Little Children and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Finding Neverland, it just sort of pulls Kate Winslet clear out of her element.
