Boy missing for 5 days, and another missing for 4 years found alive!!

Thank goodness!! Absolutely amazing that they found the second boy - 4 years and 3 months after he disappeared.

I'm listening to the news report. Guess what? The guy is a convicted sex offender. This has just been reported, it isn't in the linked story yet.

TWO boys rescued I was watching the story on Nancy Grace last night - the first I'd heard of it I am so, so, so very happy!!! I hope that both boys heal from whatever ordeal they have endured Thank GOODNESS that those police officers were aware of their surroundings and spotted the suspect truck - WAY TO GO, GUYS!!!

All I have to say is - God is Good Admists all of those horrid things those poor boys went through...they were finally found. Thank goodness They definitely had some angels watching over them.

I think that it is really amazing that after so long, that one is able to go home, and I am glad that the other one wasn't with that horrible person long enough! This case brings back memories of when Elizabeth Smart was found - I only wish this happened in all missing childrens cases.

I am so happy for the parents, to finally be able to tell their boys that they love them, to hug them. I could imagine that it would be the best feeling in the world for them.

It is great news about these kids. But you know what I hate. How some news reporters are questioning why this kid didn't get away sooner. Do they really think he enjoyed being held against his will?? He's just a kid. Give him a break. I'm sure he'll have nightmares for the rest of his life.

now the real hard times will begin....learning how to function as "normal" as possible after going through the emotional war that they have been through. So sad....

They have no idea what he was told, or what threats were made. Staynor was told that his father had died, and his mother was forced to give him away.

That's what I've been thinking. I hope the media leaves these boys alone. Can you imagine what these boys are going to go through just from returning to school? Especially the older one. Kids are mean and I can just imagine them either 1. asking awful questions that are none of their business anyway 2. talking about them behind their backs and saying awful things. I think for their sake, it would be best if the media did not have much contact with them. When they are grown if they want to write books, etc, then fine, but for now I think they need a chance to heal without the rest of the nosy world being involved. Does that make sense?

I noticed that too, while watching some of the reports, they kept asking why he didn't try to escape - well, I'm sure there were some threats made to the boys. I'm happy to see the boys back in their homes with their families, I just hope they can try to lead a somewhat normal lifestyle, although I can only imagine how hard that will be

I've been watching news reports of this, and I'm getting a little tired of the question of why the 15 year old didn't try to escape. He was 11 when he was kidnapped, and it's not that difficult to psychologically break a kid of that age. He stayed out of total fear for his and his family's life. I think that questioning why he stayed is doing more harm than good for his well being.


Sorry for the rant, I've been watching WAY too much CNN.

I thought it was pretty funny yesterday when I was watching Fox News at lunch, and Shepard Smith had a psychologist on explaining about how predators keep their VICTIMS under threat and why the boy wouldn't have felt he had a choice but to stay. Even Shepard said it was really making him mad how people were questioning why he didn't leave.

I'm beginning to think more and more that to really make it big time as a news reporter, you have to be an idiot. They continuously ask the dumbest questions. I loved watching Ari Fleisher, the White House Press Secretary, right after 9/11. They would ask a typical stupid question and he just had this look that said it all. I don't think the press corp ever caught on.

oprah. this poor child.
