Okay this morning i went to the doctor, waited 2 hours, she measured my pressure and looked concerned, made me breathe in and out and heard my heart rate, told her all the symptoms! Thank god i wrote them all down, so monday morning i have to go back in.

I am getting
Blood tests,
Hormone tests (the ones in the throat, have no clue what its called)
Plasma test
Ultrasounds in my stomac and throat.

In two weeks i have another appointment, i have to ride the bicicle, and have another ultrasound.

She told me if it is what she thinks it is she is going to refer me to a specialist!

Oh and by the way! She was able to answer me about my nails smelling burnt? She told me i was getting too much calcium, and that im rare

Good vibes for getting through it all and having a successful outcome.

Wow! Sounds like she is going to put you through the ringer. Well Good Luck with the test and let us know what they find. Lots of vibes that it is nothing serious.

too much calcium = hypercalcaemia. Your parathyroid may be overactive.

I hope everything goes well at the doctors!

The throat would be a thyroid test, Fran. Thyroid problems are extremely common in Germany, because there's next to no iodine in the soil, and most foods aren't fortified with it. Before reunification, none were in western Germany. Flour is now, because the eastern Germans insisted on it.

In addition to blood tests, they usually do an ultrasound on your thyroid to check for cysts on it. If the blood tests and ultrasound indicate a problem, you'll be sent to a radiologist for a "Szintografie", which isn't the least bit painful. I usually have the ultrasound done by a radiologist, too. (I have a "hypo", or underactive, thyroid, and take a little pill for it every morning).

Good luck with all the tests, Fran. Maybe all this will help you some...

Good Luck Fran

It does sound like a thyroid test. My husband ended up with hypo (low) thyroid, and gained weight, his hair went gray, he had headaches in the morning, and several other things. Now he takes a pill every day that only costs about $1 for a month's worth!

Have her do a Vitamin D blood test. Vitamin D helps to absorb Calcium. It's possible that the calcium isn't being absorbed into your bones, in which case while you have loads of calcium floating around, it's not really doing your body a lick of good and you are at high risk for bone fractures and kidney stones.

Most doctors don't automatically check for Vitamin levels. Vitamin D is needed to help in the absorbtion of Calcium. If you don't have enough Vitamin D your body doesn't absorb Calcium into the bones. I would ask her to do a test otherwise she probably won't.

I will be thinking of you and saying a prayer too!

My co-worker's daughter is going through a lot of tests right now too. They are pretty sure it's her thyroid bc litterally everyone else in the family already has issues with theirs. She's had similar symptoms if I remember your last post correctly. (ie. She's been sick and tired all the time. But at first they blamed it on her school schedule since she was in an intense program, I forget the exact title, but she basically is a companion to the deaf & blind)
