How often do you scoop the litter box. He insists on twice a day.

I empty the trash in my bedroom daily because otherwise the dog will get into it. I use that bag when I scoop the litterbox on my way out the door. I only have one cat, but he manages to fill that box like it's no one's business.

As for where I get all those bags, I just really, really like grocery shopping.

I have one cat, most of the time he poops once a day... sometimes 2 or 3 times. I try to scoop right after each one if I can... it's convenient because I just flush it in the toilet.

1 cat, 1 time a day.

Every single time after he goes, he comes into the room and announces that he just went poo with a big Yowl. I have no idea why.

I scoope at least 2 times a day. Just think of it this way, everytime you use your toilet, you flush. So, why would you let your baby go in a dirty box?

I think you are scooping completely normally. I do the same thing: once in the morning before leaving for work...and when coming home after the day's work. Sometimes I'll do it again before bed. We found THE solution for Dulcinea is to have TWO litter boxes. She likes having a choice...and uses one for peeing and the other for pooing...but sometimes switches...depending on her mood. It's a little more work...but having two saves a lot of 'attitude' from Dulcinea...and keeps her happy---and hence keeps ME happy also.

Good luck.

I scoop twice a day but now that I'm babysitting my two brother's cats so I have four litter boxes to care for I check morning, after dinner and before bedtime. I use the arm and hammer litter for multi cats on my cats but my brother uses a different brand and occasionally I add some of that litter box deordorant once a week to keep them fresh smelling but only a little bit as I know cats don't care for it if its too strong.

With two cats I am now scooping twice a day. Before I had gotten a bit lenient with Ceci only scooping once, but since we have Samantha I have to scoop twice.

I scoop and clean in the morning (she flings litter EVERYWHERE) and also at night. Since we have two boxes, one covered and one uncovered Ceci has preferred to use Samantha's box. Since Samantha will only use her box we have to scoop alot so the box is always clean for her

I scoop each potty twice a day unless it is a potty that they all use, then sometimes 3-4 times day. With my breeders, they are very picky about their litter boxes. They like a clean box with lots of litter.

I scoop when there's poop.
Typically once a day, although on some days it's twice a day. Gizmo likes to get in his box and fling litter everywhere and if he's gone poo, well lets just say litter isn't the only thing that gets flung, so I try to get in there and scoop before HE gets in to start digging.

I have four cats. I have one huge box. I put 40 lbs of litter in it once a week. I scoop once a day in the morning. I make sure I get everything. I also stir the clay as to let it absorb all moisture that may be present. Clay gets changed on Sunday into a clean tub. The bag of litter gets tossed in a dumpster of the building I might be working in Monday. I'm going to go to the "fishtub" method soon so I don't have to transfer the clayfrom box to bag. The fishtubs have a top and built in handles so I can manhandle and toss the whole mess in the truck and the top will keep the rain out for the night..

"I buy the plastic grocery sacks. 1000 for $12...only a bit more than a penny apiece."

Where do you buy those sacks? We've been begging our local Target store to sell them to us, but no luck...
