Hello,
I recently (or about a month ago) went to a sheltor and got a new cwcat and was wondering if anyone can gelp me with trying to figure out what type of cat it is? I fneed be I can post a pic but it can be 1 of there 3 types due to its color.
Chartreux
Korat
Russian Blue
The only thing I find with this cat is she likees to talk a lot or meow. Not sure which of these types of cats are more prone to doing it. Let me know if posting a picture will help.

Hello and welcome. Yes, please do post a pic. For those of us that are not good with breeds, we are good with cuteness awarenss, but there are those that know breeds, so post away.

She appears to be a blue domestic shorthair. She looks like several of my cats. She is cute!

Welcome by the way!

Hello,
Do you really think she is a DSH? I would would think she is a DSH and something mixed since cats are not norm. "blue", right?

Her name is Mercedez...as far as age I am thinking 1 1/2 yrs old? Not 100% sure at all maybe 2. Its hard to tell becuase she is always meowing...not sure if thats i want attention or i am young and want to play

I dunno I just find it weird since blue is a rare color for cats and there is only 3 types in the world that are that color. So for anyone to have one they must have something in them

Blues are definitely not rare. I see them all over the place. Out of all my rescued cats that came off the street, shelters, etc.. I have 5 blues. My friend has 2, my neighbor has 1..

Most people just call blues, grays. They could all have something in them, all cats have some bit of an actual cat breed in them! But there are just plain old Blue DSH/DLH.

Without any kind of papers the cat is either a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), a Domestic Medium Hair (DMH), or a Domestic Long Hair (DLH). Every cat has something purebred in their heritage somewhere, that's why some have big ears, high cheeks, different color eyes, et cetera. Either way, she is adorable!

Welcome to TCS! I have no idea what kind of kitty you have, but she's beautiful. Maybe she has a purebred kitty somewhere in her lineage? In any case, she's a lovely girl.
