So the order for Puff's nail caps came today. I put them on. They are blue. He tried to get them off a few times but now he seems to be leaving them alone. So at least I don't have to worry about him scratching Kota's eye or scratching Sierra again. I'll get a pic in awhile. My battery went dead and I don't know if we have more batteries.

Congratulations! I think the colored nails are the cutest. Jaden just got her pink nails last week (though she still has half clear on her paws, aww!) For my parent's cat, Cookie, who is a tortiseshell we got her the orange ones. They look fantastic. Unfortunately, she's an older cat and didn't tolerate getting new claws that well and keeps pulling them off. My dad finally gave up and said she needs her claws to kill mice with anyway. Too bad she's not the same size as Jaden or I'd take them back.

He pulled at them the first night. Now he seems kinda bummed that he can't scratch his post on the cat tree. But when he swatted Kota today he didn't hurt her! So I think it's well worth it. I think he's still mad at me a little though....

Aww, those are very fancy! He'll get used to having manicured nails soon enough. Maybe he'll even forget he has them on. Congratulations on trying them out, I hope they'll work for you.

So far so good.
He doesn't even pay attention to them now.

Oh he'll quickly get used to them. Anya still scratches her scratching pad with hers, in fact that's how when her nails need to shed that she gets them off. I'm always finding the shed ones next to the scratching pad.

They look great! Mine both have clear, because that's all I could find at Petsmart at the time. And it was before I found out that I could get the colored ones online for even cheaper. Now I don't want them to have different colors waiting for the old ones to fall off, so I stuck with the clear.

wow, that's great

I heard about soft paws but I heard from some people that their cats just chew them off.

How long does it last before they come off? And do you have to buy new ones or can you re-use the same ones?

Puff got one of them off already. YOu can't reuse them. But they come in a pack of 40 so you just reapply as needed till your pack is gone. It just depends on the time. I guess I didnt get enough glue on the one that came off.

Wow - those are beautiful blue nails! I've thought about them for the boys, but don't know how well they would tolerate them!

success seems to vary, cat to cat. i renewed both Java's & Cable's at the same time. at this point, Java needs 7 new nails, & Cable needs only 1. Java's 'tortitude/caliconess' is showing itself thru the wanton destruction of her soft claws!
