Growing up, we had a turtle, hermit crabs, bullfrog tadpoles, fish, chameleons, and snakes. Now, it's just me, Ivo and the about 30 pigeons I feed every day.
As I child I had a couple of goldfish when I lived with my mother. When I was with my father we had one male (black/white) and female (red/white) Basenji that were bred together for a total of 2 litters. The female, her name was Tovex, died when she got hit by a car because the neighbor wouldn't repair his part of the fence and they got out. The male (Bomber) had to be given away when my dad divorced my 1st step-mom and we had to go live with friends because she put him through the financial ringer. We had no where else to go and they didn't have a fence and didn't want the dog inside. I cried and cried over my sweet Bomber buddy.
I have had 2 rabbits at different times; one white albino female named Penelope and one black female named Nikki. I had a cockateil named Star.
While I was in High School my dad and I had a Rotweiler named Daisy. Daisy is now with my dad and step-mom because I moved into an apartment when I was in college.
Other then the 11 cats I have now, I have a Golden Retriever, Buddy, lots of Fish, Bullfrogs, Toads, and tadpoles...I also had 2 other kitties, Ginger and Blackie.
Let's see Cat's, Dogs, fish, Rabbits, chameleons, Baby scorpions (Till my mum found them and freaked out) Lizards, Hedghog....I kept waking it up though while it was hybernating so it didn't make it....I am still grieving) snails (okay I was an only child till I was 16), Frogs and tadpoles (I left my tadpoles in a bath of water when we went away for the weekend I was around 4 years old, but I hadn't put the plug in properly so when we got back there were all these black dots in the bath ....I am still grieving). did I say cats? That's about it. :tounge2:
Dogs: Golden Retriever cross (Charlie), German Shepherd (Richard), Bull Terrier (Lucy), Current: Cattle Dog cross (Oakley)
Fish: Various goldfish, Siamese Fighting Fish
Farm Animals: Well, I've had goats (Nanny [how original], Bensala & Cassandra), sheep and a little calf I bottle fed for a few months until he could go back home
Rodents: Guinea pigs, rabbits and lots of mice (as a child)
Birds: Crimson Rosella, Cockatoo, Budgies
I think that's all!
What I hope to have in the future: Horses (always wanted a horse), a donkey and some alpacas. :tounge2:
1-cat (Kiki)
6-guinea pigs (Fred, Morty, Mustafa, Gravy, Boogie, and Gargamel)
4-fish tanks (two saltwater and two fresh)
I have no idea how many fish (that is my husbands fun)
I have had:
many, many cats (can't live without them)
many, many dogs
Ahhh BodLover Don't be so hard......I am grieving still for the little hedgie ad the tadpoles. I forgot!!! I also had a rabbit that commited suicide by jumping off our balcony.(we lived 6 floors up)I was very upset as I was going to take him to show and tell that morning. My mum said NO to me wanting to take him anyway.
Actually you saying that about your bunny.... I had a little Hammie once that tried to slide down the stair bannister.... she fell off right at the top and landed with a squeak!! I felt awful (although it wasn't my fault!) but she lived the longest of any of or hammies!!!
PS We have a resident hedgie, he likes to eat the cat food thats outside... I called him Hedgie...... original eh!?!? But he is SOOOO cute!! He lets you stroke him and everything!!! (unusual for a wild hedgie!!)
I would LOVE to have a couple of kittens who are litter mates and maybe a dog, but I also really don't want to put any stress on Snowball since he is an older cat.
