Nah. I go for what's inside a person. Looks change and fade over time, the true essence of a person is their insides / personality.

It's pretty shallow to pick your friends based on their physical appearance. People who do that often end up alone in life.

I was surprised last summer where there were all the local meetups that no one tried the US thing.

Oh yea, and no, I think you all would hate me and I would hate you

And looking back, there was something about them online that I couldn't quite put my finger on...

I have made some great friends online, but also weeded out a bunch of people that were fake. I am sooooo lucky to have met Belinda (LSULOVER) as she is one of my very closest friends. We were close before, and meeting in person just made that better. I can even tolerate her hugging my husband.
I was thinking the same thing Neet

I think you'd probably all want to
me if you met me IRL.

Katie, could you imagine if we worked in the same place? We wouldn't get any work done!

From the heart though, I've made many good friends here.........whether we ever meet in real life or not, your all very special to me and I treasure Anne for creating this site and bringing people into my life and
that otherwise I'd have never known about..........

I bet it is the same two people too, and me and Neet have also met other people online that we both have met in person, and those people are some of my dearest friends.

They were very dear to me after Hurricane Katrina came through last year, it took them several days to get in touch with me and they were very worried about me and my husband.

It made me feel good to know that they loved me that much.

Same here, I met one of my best friends online, and while I thought my friends really understood me, I just don't have the same relationship with them as with her, we truly understand each other.

And all the people I met from TCS were really nice so I can't see why we wouldn't be friends

I believe we would be friends because I believe we all contain the core values that make a person a good one even though we do have alot of differences. What makes a person is what is in their heart.

That being sad I tend to be very hard on myself and somewhat doubtful of the way I come across to people but I have never felt that way here on TCS.

I guess I didn't mind as she's one right back!
I just don' understand why people have to judge me by my looks.

I HATE it when people judge by looks. What is wrong with some people?? Sheesh.. I think you are so cute Natalie

I honestly think that cat people are good people (most of the time). I have met so many animal haters that are just miserable human beings. Everyone here is so sweet and nice..and I agree that being on TCS has made me more open minded about friendships. I am way less likely to judge someone since falling in like with all of you guys.

I have met such good friends here that I may not have ever thought twice about getting to know if I saw them on the street..So I am grateful for that.

I just wish I could meet you all, I would totally hang out with anyone here...except maybe Neet.......Aw, who am I kidding..I wuv Neeeeeeeeeeeet!

I think there are some pretty big belief differences between myself and a few members on here just like with co-workers and people I've been in school with, but that doesn't usually stop me from being able to enjoy the company of thoes people. I might be closer to people with more similar beliefs, but I'm still friends with everyone.

If i did that, there's no telling what great friendships i would have missed out on!
I really don't play the "wondering" game as far as friends go
I'm very open and love to hang out with people who are different from me/ the same as me, whatever!
A friend is a friend, i don't really overannalyze it

I never judge by looks.. it's on the inside what counts not the outside.
and like Nikki said a friend is a friend and I don't overanalyze it either.

It doesn't matter to me what a person looks like. If they are a good person that is all that matters to me. And most animal lovers seem to be good people.
