I met Scott when I sat down next to him the first day of winter semester at college. It turned out he was in my program and in two of my classes. We got to know each other at school and he asked me out after a month. Our first date was on Valentine's day . We got engaged on our 18th month anniversary and married on the 2nd anniversary of our first kiss. We've been together for almost 4 years now.

I knew he was a good guy when my cat liked him too! Now we have our own kitty (Cookie still lives with my parents) and are thinking of getting two more. Kids? nah, I've got kittie-kids

My best friend at the time told me about his cousin... he sent me his IM name and we got to talking.. about 6 days later on 9-27-06 we all met to see a movie. John and I have been together ever since!

DH and I had mutual friends. We met next to the dumpster at the dorms on the base. I was bringing my friend home from a wedding I'd accompanied him to since his girl friend (one of my best friends) couldn't go to, and he was taking out his trash. And his clothse didn't match....or at least didn't look too good....he's not usually a bad dresser!

I met my dh when we were both sysops on a pets forum, we began chatting in the staff lounge message section. After we had a bet about an online cat photo contest (the loser had to call the other) we only missed maybe 4 days of talking to each other before marrying within the year. He lived on the West Coast, and I on the East, so we would not have met if not for the forum we were on.

I am 13+ years older, we will be celebrating our 12th anniversary next October

I met my hubby spring of 2002 at work (me an aide for disturbed children, him a social worker). At the time I had a cast on my right foot so I filled the "helpless girl needs big strong man" role, and it worked!

We married in April of 05, still newly weds.

dont judge me too harshly, but he was with my best friend 4 a week and then saw a pic of me and dumped her. 2 years later and we're still happier than ever! And when we met we just clicked so I didnt have any guilt.

I had just broken up with a boyfriend, and he had just broken up with a girlfriend. My best friend and his sister who were friends (and I had met his sister a number of times) got together and decided that they should get us together because they felt we would be perfect for each other. They invited us both out for an evening - neither one of us knew it was a set-up. I figured it out first, and didn't want anything to do with him - that lasted about 3 days (he was persistent once he met me - never knew it was a set-up till later)! That was 22 years ago and we've been together ever since!

I met my SO at the dam where everyone went to hang out and drink on Sunday afternoons. I knew this old biker that let this young guy hang around with him because he could help him push his bike. They were there, and he decided that the young guy and I would be perfect for each other, even though I was in a very bad relationship. He was 5 years younger than me, and that was a much bigger difference at 16, and 21. He told me within minutes of meeting tht I was the only woman for him, and one day I would figure it out. I'm just glad he would still be my friend for the next 6 years, and was still interested when I finally came to my senses and figured out he was the only one for me. We have been happily unmarried for almost 22 years.

I walked into a restaurant that Jim was working at and asked him about a job, he told me to write my name, # and measurements on a piece of paper. I thought he was so cheesy that I busted out laughing and couldnt stop laughing and telling him how corny he was he has never left me alone since that was 20 years ago.

We were atypical highschool sweethearts (long cycle of breaking up and getting back together ). When I finally broke up with him in college, we finally started going back to church, got straightened out, got back together for good ,and we'll be married 15 years in May ("together" 21 years in Feb ).

Well i told this story a couple but the short version, I was working nights, bored and wanted to talk to someone from some place i had never been, i found a ID on webpersonals.com from someone from indo , i said hi, 5 years later after talking to her almost every day i jumped on a plane and went.

A mutual friend of ours set us up. I didnt realize it though. I didnt really like him that much until he started talking about his goats and then I started paying him more attention. Gave him my number and after a month of just talking we started dating.

With me, I split up from my last bf just before my last 2 years of school (6th form). I was determined to enjoy being single. In my first ever lesson I met this ginger haired guy in a celtics top who I had a 'minor disagreement' with, and 1 month later I had another bf and its been great ever since.
Even though a week after we started going out I managed to offend a friend of his to the point that she only now says hi to the two of us. And she may not have realised who we were before she said it.
