Too bad I have so many. Awe well, I hope his owner come for him. Of course I don't see a problem in him finding a home now that he's famous.

Yep didn't they say in the article that if his owners didn't claim him he would be neutered and put up for adoption? which explains his lovely jowly face but he is still one big boy!

He's a sweetie!

We had a feral a few years ago we named Goliath, he was HUGE too. His rapper name was "Heavy G"!

Oh MY He's adorable look at that huge HEAD!! WE have a 20 pound cat but his head isn't nearly that big
post #10 of 27
I LOVE HIM!!! How far is Oregon from me? I want him!!!! He's so cute!
Awww! What a honey! He will surely find a home!

I thought my Chynna was tubby, but wow, Goliath sure makes her look small in comparison.

He definitely needs to play around with a laser pointer!

Must be his tom cattiness making him look so huge.
When me neutered RB boy was obese (at 23.6 pounds) he looked like a normal cat that swallowed a basketball.

I do love this boy's face though, somebody must be missing him terribly.

Oh my!! Can you imagine cuddling with him!? Awww, I love him!

His owner came forward! Looks like he had been missing for 6 months. And he is FIV positive.

Awwwww.....I hope the owners take good care of him despite being FIV +.... I am glad that he was reunited, though!

What a cutie! He looks like more than 20 pounds. My Leo weigh 22 at his biggest, and he wasn't fat at all, he was just huge. He was well proportioned, and his head was about the size of a softball, while his shoulders were about knee level with me.

Well the 20 lb weight was after being on his own for 6 months. I'm sure he 'fattened' right up when he started getting regular meals again. He looks so happy with his owner.

wow! that kitty is massive
Imagine the guys surprise to see his cat in the news, LOL

I am glad that he found his Dad again. I think they look a bit alike actually
post #20 of 27
Hard to believe he's only 20lbs. One of mine at 18lbs was not nearly that big. Poor kit! Good thing the other cats didn't attack while he was stuck.

Woah I thought Cleo was big. She is over weight but She lost alot in one year. She gained back a little becuse of the meds she is on. He is the biggest cat i have ever seen.
It was hard to say from that pic but I don't think he looked big because of fatness - he might have been a little tubby being intact etc, but he's just a BIG boy

I think it so nice that he was reunited with his family. I'm sure if they didn't take care of him with his FIV they wouldn't have come forward - he'd be easier not to have than to have, so I think they really him. It must have been awful for his Dad to come home from his lung transplant to find his baby gone.

Sigh....I love happy endings

What a happy ending to this story!!! I love happy endings!!

That was my first thought when I saw him. Those big jowls are common in adult roaming, fighting toms...we very rarely see them outside of the FIV room (but they sometimes go down with neutering). Sad, but it's manageable and definitely NOT a death sentence! I'd love to have an FIV kitty, but the rescue won't let me take one since I have negative kitties at home. My co-worker has 6 FIV's!

I wonder why he wasn't neutered?

Wow! that's one big puss!

How great that they were reunited...happy happy!

He must have devastated to find his big boy gone!!!! What a big handsome boy I wonder if he got FIV in that 6 months he was lost?
