My neighbour has two nuetered male cats. They come into my yard a lot and up to my door. They just started to come this close the last couple of weeks. My oldest female (spayed) cat is always on watch at the door. Last night they had a hissing and spitting and fighting match with the window between them.

My main concern is that she might start to pee around to mark her territory.(my cats are indoor only)I was wondering what works to keep cats out of your yard if you can. I had heard of mothballs around the fence but is this safe. I have sprayed the males outside with a water bottle but I am not always around.

I can keep my door closed I guess but I dont have a window in this wreckroom and I like to let in the fresh air.

There's not a whole lot of options for keeping animals out of your yard. Mothballs aren't safe for cats. It can damage the kidneys. I have heard of spray repellants, but don't have much knowledge on them. The only thing I can think of is to keep orange peels by the windows. Most cats aren't fond of cirtus. Have you talked to the neighbor about the problem?

Sandie I havent talked to her but I maybe I should. I can try the orange peel thing or see if there is a repellant available. Thanks I should have thought of that myself.
