Bored bored bored...

I think I am the point where I'm going to start going crazy from boredom. I've worked a total of 1 week since November 9th because of my Carpal Tunnel and not getting out of the house much (while I appreciate not having to work but still getting paid) is driving me nuts. To make things worse, I had my surgery Friday so now I've got my left hand in a splint, which makes doing much of anything impossible. Typing is a bit of pain, can't play guitar, can play drums but with one hand, which I guess isn't that bad (I run a disabled drummer website so I'm used to the idea of it), I can't even clean...and that's boredrom when those thoughts enter my head

My stitches come out Monday and then I have 2 weeks or so to be free again. I'll still be home from work, but then I have to go back on the 26th and have surgery on the right hand and then it starts over

Any suggestions?

Get some good movies to watch. Maybe rent a few seasons of you favorite shows that you normally miss. I have no idea.

Could you take a walk or do a little jogging?

That would be a good idea if I could leave the house I use hand controls to drive and can't do that until the stitches come out.

Too bad we don't have floor tiles to count

I use crutches so walking unless I only use the right one, which I can't do outside (need both for balance)

wow, not a whole lot of options available, uh? I don't suppose you have a copy of War and Peace on hand, that would keep you busy for a few hours, at least

Hmmm.... Netflix is a good option for movies without leaving the house, and cheap too.

Well the CTS came from all the pressure I put on my wrists from the crutches. As for the typing, I'm using my right hand more as I can't do a whole lot with the left. I can use it some, but it's straight and supported from the splint anyway, so that won't have any negative effects. The right is already messed up but they'll fix that shortly

Went through boredom myself after my accident last year. Got home and my bed is in one room and the TV is in the other, and I couldn't sit up long enough to surf the net. I feel for ya...

Oh Good! I know with all the typing I do at work, we have to use those "wrist supports" which translate into "don't sue us when you get carpal tunnel"
