The Military....
But after 12 years I'm ok with it now. I used to hate it here. Now I don't want to move! I like having 'roots.'

I'll have to remember that when we're in Ohio in August, broiling under the sun and sweltering in the humidity, and all of us Coloradoans are wondering why in the world anyone would live there by choice!Originally Posted by katiemae1277
I live here in NE Ohio cause that is where I was born, where my parents still live, and where my fabulous job is located. I also happen to like Ohio ALOT, 4 seasons, no hurricanes or earthquakes, not too many tornadoes or blizzards, lots of stuff to do, no really, I swear there isI will most likely live here my entire life

But we still wouldn't change it for anything.
I live in Colorado because we moved here when I was 18 months old. Grew up thinking I couldn't wait to leave, but when I went to college I realized how wonderful Colorado really is. The moderate climate - no earthquakes, tornados (well, not this close to the mountains), hurricanes, volcanos, etc. - very little humidity, the beauty of the mountains, the Western attitude... So I decided to stay in the state. Moved to Lakewood because I wanted to live in a bigger city than Ft. Collins (still don't like that place to live!), and my job was going to be close to here. Lakewood is pretty safe, very pretty, close to the mountains, close to Red Rocks, close to Denver for stuff to do,

Why do you live where you live? (as in city/state/country)
