One year has passed and now I sit here with your photos and memories. The last year was one of immense change. New job for me, total renovations to our home and you are missing. How I wish this wasn't the case and that my bruised heart was only part of a dream!

It's quite simple. I miss you and want my heart to feel whole again. You know I brought two new cats into the household and they do bring back some of the feline personality that I have missed but so far they don't provide that connection that we had. Maybe that will never happen but maybe it will, in a different way. Since there will be no comparison, nor there should be between lives.

So, as I remember the past and wade through the memories I created a photo tribute for this one year anniversary. Oh, how the camera loved you! I'm still amazed after all this time of your emerald eyes and everything they revealed about you - your beauty, your grace, your warmth and the wonderful connection we shared.

Be at peace Emerald Girl and thank you for all that you shared with Rob and I and the memories we now hold dear. You were one in a million and the world new it. I'm so thankful that you were in our lives, even for such a short stay. May we meet again.

It must be a very hard day for you. I'm sure Nakita was there to greet some of our 2007 RB babies as they crossed over this year. I'm certain they are all happily playing or laying in a warm sunbeam right now.

I can't believe it has been a whole year, anniversaries are always hard. I think that from time to time there are extra special cats in our lives, like Nakita, and we will never have that kind of connection with another cat, but we wouldnt want it, that is special to them, and future cats have their own connection. RIP little one, and do send a message down to your mum and dad.

The passing of my Harvey is a little too fresh for me to watch the tribute without totally breaking down just now, but I've seen your pictures before and I'm sure it's beautiful. You and your precious Nakita are in my thoughts, though, Kass.

You would have been 6 years old today and I still can't believe how fast you were taken from this earth.

Hi Little One. Tomorrow will be 2 years since you left us. Our lives and the house you knew have changed so much in that time.
