My Emerald Girl

I rarely step foot in this forum- I find it hard to read the posts and find a response. Epona directed me to your first posts on this thread and I am struck by how much you loved Nakita and how much she meant to you. The reason I avoid such threads is that I love Radar SOOOO much that I would hate anything to happen to him and it pains me to imagine it happening to any cat...
Whilst I'm sure Nakita is at peace I'm sure you are in emotional turmoil and wish you all the good vibes I can manage.
Words can't describe, but having lost pets I can certainly empathise

I read your tribute to sweet Nakita earlier today, but I was at work and couldn't reply at that time, simply because I was trying to hide my tears, your memories and the place she had in your heart was so touching and heartbreaking that I wasn't able to say anything at that point when I was in the office and trying not to become too emotional.

I am so sorry that she is gone, too soon, from your lives. What comes across so much in your post is how special she was to you, how loved she was. My heart breaks for you, reading about the silence that there is now in your home and your lives, where she once was.

You posted a lovely tribute to a very special cat. She will hold a place in your hearts forever - and also she has a bit of my heart, even though I never had the pleasure of sharing her company.

I raise my glass to a truly special and wonderful cat, and to you in respect of the loss and the grief that you are now feeling.

What a beautiful tribute to your special girl. I know how difficult this must have been for you to do. Nakita is one of God's special little angels now, and she will always be with you and Rob in your hearts! God bless you and Nakita! Rest peacefully sweet girl!

I too raise my glass to Nakita, our Nakita, we loved her as if she was one of our own, and now we shed tears with you.

Thankyou for sharing your girl with us over the past 4 years, she will never ever be forgotton.

Kass, your love for Nakita showed through in every post and picture you shared. And your beautiful tribute shows how much she meant to you and Rob. Know that she's watching over you and her beautiful spirit will always be with you.

I've loved her from the first time I saw her, and will never forget her. Thank you for sharing her with us and allowing us to love her.

My heart aches, my eyes are full, I see Nakita in the eyes of my precious kits.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had to stop reading at work yesterday because I was starting to cry. Nakita was very beautiful and special. Thank you for sharing her with us. RIP sweet Emerald Girl.

Once again I find myself without words. I dreaded all weekend the moment when you came home. I knew the house would feel empty without her. I screamed at the universe "IT ISN'T FAIR!!!" And as I just wrote to you - if I feel so devastated, if I feel so angry with the universe for making her life so short, and if I feel like my heart has been ripped out - how must you and Rob feel?

Well - your tribute to Nakita says it all.

I agree with Heidi. I think all of us at TCS felt how special Nakita was - we could see it in her eyes. It is said that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and that everyone saw such beauty in her eyes is simply an affirmation of her beautiful, gentle, soul.

I've always felt you should publish, Kass. Now you have a reason to. You were her companion and guardian for a reason, Kass. Consider using your gift to honor her. With all that is going on in the world, we could use a message of light, beauty and gentle nature.

I am soooooooo sorry for your loss Nakita was a gorgeous girl, with the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. Those prescious eyes are looking down on you now, warming your heart and spirit. I know it is rough right now, but I hope you can cherish all your special memories of her, and hold those memories close to your heart always.

Wish I were good with words but my feelings echo those already stated. I am deeply saddened to find out Nakita has passed to the bridge. She was such a special and beautiful girl.

Kass, what a marvelous tribute you shared with is about your beautiful little girl, Nakita. We have all been so deeply moved by her for so long...not only by her physical beauty, but by the connection between the human and feline spirit that both she and you have represented throughout the years.

And as others have stated, you did all you could for her, and you must believe that she knows that and loves you all the more for your final decision...only a love that true can allow us to let another go.

I too raise my glass for the Emerald Girl, and for you, Kass, for our hearts remain open to you in the spirit of healing and remembrance.

I just wanted to say, once again, thank you to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers over the last weeks. I have read them many times and they have really been helping me put things in perspective - to deal with Nakita's passing and finally to move on.

I am still overwhelmed by all the messages and how Nakita influenced so many lives. She really was special and I can't imagine never having met such a wonderful spirit. I was so blessed to have her in my life - even for such a short time.

She lives on in all our memories and I am so very glad I came on these forums 4 years ago and shared her pictures/stories. I can't imagine where I would be without all your support!

I love you Emerald Girl - you will be in my heart forever and I will do my best to honour your life by making the most of mine.

I'm so glad I found TCS and was able to share her pictures, stories and life with everyone here. It's wonderful to know that she also touched other hearts out in the world as well.

All of us share our lives with cats. Sometimes, a cat comes along that is different from others. Special in ways that cannot be described. Ambassador cats, cats that save us from ourselves, cats able to show us what truly lies inside of us.
