I have opened this thread in dedication to Kimward who's brilliant suggestion for the following names must be the first in this thread.

Dedication also goes to Debra Myers who as we all know is doing a fantastic job with the 7 truffles. And lets not forget Adymarie and krazy kat2 who came up with the seven dwarves idea.

I know you are all fantastic and clever and really good at names so lets get some ideas going.

Also with the soon (I hope) arrival of kittens in my house will need some names as well. (No ulterior motive here though my friends)

Kimward - Bait and Tackle (way to go Kim hehehehe)

Bundylee – Fire (I always thought it would sound funny calling a dog or cat ‘ fireâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji] and seeing what happens when you have to call them to come in for dinner) I know itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s sick!!!

I'm addicted to Laurel K. Hamilton's books. In her new series, starring Merry Gentry, there are two characters nicknamed "the Queen's Darkness" and "Killing Frost". I think it would be cool, if you have a dark and a light-colored kitty, to name them Darkness and Frost.

I always enjoy when a pet is named a "people" name. Three of my 4 cats have people names - Clementine, Winnie and Elsa - sounds like three women in their seventies... The fourth is The Silly Goose (just Goose for short), not sure where that came from in the pattern. I know dogs named Cleo, Sidney, Heidi, Todd, Ted (first and middle: Theodore Woodrow), and Tess (short for Anastasia), and cats named Bogey (after H. Bogart), Dara and Feargal. Also a cute combo of cats named Holly and Ivy...

My favourite "combo" of names were a couple of long-ago brothers - when I was very young, our family had Dandelion and my aunt's family had Oleander, known as Dandy and Ole (the scandinavian pronounciation, ole-y, to rhyme with holy).

Keep it going guys we are up to 60 names already and I have already made them into a list. Please keep the names coming, what target shall we aim for?

I have two lists - TheCatSites favourite names and Combo of Cats Names.

When you post the names if you can have them one under the other it is easier to cut and paste into excel that way.

This is such a great idea, and I share some of the names as my fav's with everyone else.
I always thought it was be fun to name a pair Thunder and Lighting!
How about Gretta? A friend of mine wno adopted one of Gooldie's babies picked that one.
Then there are the great comedy teams like Laurel and Hardey and Gracie and George......oh, the list could go on and on forever..............
