My sister has a tamed feral male whos shes had since he was about 5 months old (I think). He only like her and is afraid of most everyone else. He's moved with her once before. When she first got him, she lived with 2 female roomates, last summer she moved into a house with 1 of the previous roomates and 2 other guys. Bob was scared but got over it. This summer she added a new kitten (whom I have the sister too) and they became instant friends. Bob has had a fairly stable life and despite being skidish of everyone else, hes been okay.

She recieved an internship 2 hours away from home. This week she moved. She because of the long drive, she did not take the cats to visit prior to the move (I always do this and it works nicely). She brought most of their things and had most of the place set up prior to the move. She now lives alone. Roxy did good, took a day or two to adjust. But its been since Wed. and Bob howls from 3am to 6 am, straight. He sleeps all day, and is awake all night. His schedule is completely fliped from how it used to be. Hes very stressed out and we dont' know what to do for him. Shes tried cuddling him, he gets up and cries again. Isolating him in the bedroom with her, he scratches the door, isolating him in a different room (more scratching) and even a spray bottle when he screams. Shes exhusted and will be starting her internship in less than a week.

Any tips or idea to help this boy settle in and give his mommy some sleep?

Start running Feliway IMMEDIATELY, this should help calm him down.
