Bald spots on ankle

Hello folks:

My aunt's male cat (3 yrs old) has bald spots on his foot,
what would be a cat's ankle. What would be causing
this, it looks worse this week then last week.

My kitty had same in past but it went away on its own
and dont really know what is was on her either.

Are they just bald, or are they sores? Red/bleeding etc.

Our 18 yr old family cat Chichi had a bald spot on each of her hind legs recently and they even started to bleed. We (+ the vet) thinks it is from old age and 'sitting' too long on a hard surface. Kind of like when humans get bed sores from laying in the same spot too long. She's much better now.

If its a young cat I'd think allergies maybe? It's best to have the vet check it out.

The sores look bald and very pink but not bleeding.

can you put up a picture of it ... you could be discriping nothing or an abscess

It could also be ringworm, a fungal infection.
