So I bought a self cleaning litterbox this weekend.. Saturday night at Wal-Mart. It's the Littermaid Plus. It works pretty good...

I mean it definately gets the big stuff,, as long as the cats don't dig down to deep all the way to the bottom with it.. It gets it... I'd say it got 95% of the stuff..

We love it.. It really cuts down on the smell, by alot with 3 cats!! and I just love not having to scoop a big ol litter box,, I just dump the stuff,, check the litter and I'm done... It's awesome.. I'm in love with it..

We gonna save up and by the Littermaid Elita Mega,, the big one with the canopy and stuff,, and keep both of them... We can get it for like $150 at Petsmart,, so we're gonna do that... This littermaid plus was like $80,, so it's wasn't horrible priced at all.. It really was a spontaneous decision...

But a good one.. Just thought I'd leave my remark on the self cleaning litterbox that didn't break my budget..

i have 3 littermaids for my 4 cats - i love mine. i wouldn't spend the extra for the one with the canopy, etc. tho unless you are using it in a room where they need the privacy or something. of course, all of my litterboxes are in closets, so i don't need covers or anything. i do have one that has a ramp, & the kids never use the ramp.

We have 3 Littermaid Megas (not the Elite). They do work reasonably well. I have heard nothing but complaints about the Elite models. Personally I would stick to the LM models and skip the LME models. You'll save money and be happier with it.
