i feed mine meow mix wet & chicken soup dry. altho, i've been unable to get to the feed store the last 2 weeks to get the chicken soup [christmas, funeral, etc] so they've gotten supermarket dry. i did get mostly kitten formulas, tho, because they had better ingredients [chicken meal 1st ingredient, etc].
gotta get to the feed store today!

Don't mind at all
! It's 75 cents a can at my Walmart, for a 5.5 oz. can
.

Oh, and no, don't use one of those- I just get a (new!-LOL) trash can with a tight fitting lid
. About $15 at Walmart and Kmart
.

And does anyone use these?

i use something very like that, but not stackable. i buy my dry food in 20 pound sacks, & i have chewers
so i like it. works better at keeping the food fresh than the flip-top trash can did, too.

why would we condemn you? It doesn't mean you love your cats any less by feeding them less expensive food. Better you have food to take care of them! I would go with Iams or Science diet or something else of that variety.

Not to hijack your post but is there a good cat food, (wet and dry) that contains no or hardly any chicken? Rocket tends to throw up more often on foods that have chicken in them but I can't seem to find many foods that don't contain at least a little chicken, with the expection of Pro Plan dry.

California Natural has a dry food that is Herring and Sweet Potato, and a canned food that is Salmon and Sweet Potato--neither have any chicken. They also have a couple other canned flavors with no chicken as well.

Here are the ingredients for the Natural Life (the wet Walmart food
) Lamaderm Lamb Platter- I didn't see any chicken
:

They also have a fish formula, but I don't know if it has chicken in it or not, as my cat has the fish allergy
.

Be careful with the Purina One, when I was researching it I noticed that only one type of Purina One had decent ingredients in it, the rest of them were kinda crappy.

Their new Purina One Natural Blends stuff seems to be good though (Chicken & Rice and Chicken & Oatmeal)

the natural s is at least by product free but still has wheat corn and soy which are tops in cat food allergies ...
