He called my Mom last night to tell her he would be over this morning. He never showed. But, atleast she heard his voice.

My baby Sister saw him the night before at Rite-Aid buying Benedryl and told him he'd better call Mom.For those of you that don't know it, Meth users have a constant itch and ONLY Benedryl will stop that itch.
So, it's confirmed that he is once again using. He was hanging with a known dealer. So, we also know he's dealing.

What the H*** do people think that drugs is going to take care of?It may dull the pain and all,but ONLY for a bit!!!
I can HONESTLY say, I've NEVER EVER used or tried drugs. So, I don't understand the hold that they can have over people.
Forgot to add, we're trying to figure out a way to have the Police catch him dealing so they'll put him away for a while.

I'm glad you heard from him. I never understood the allure of drugs since I don't like being out of control. But I guess it gives them something that they seem to desperately need.

I personally don't see it as respecting your body either.

Sorry your going threw this Tammy!
I must have missed your other post. From personal experience when doing drugs you just want to be out of it. I mean I knew it wasnt helping anything but it made me feel better. The last time I did drugs I hadnt done it for over a year and I realized why in the world did I enjoy this feeling. Its not fun you feel totally out of control. Anyways I hope you and your family find out a way to help your brother. It took my deciding I was ready to straighten my life out to stop. I dont know really what to say.

I think people use drugs to try to fill a void. Drugs seem to temporarily do that, and then addiciions are hard to beat. Your brother is trying to find what is supposed to fill an empty part of him. Have faith that he will figure it out.

The only thing about this, is he has been using for over 8 years now. He's gotten sooooooo desperate that he's used horse tranquilizers. That came out at one of his hearing when they put him in jail.

I'm glad someone in your family has at least heard from him, this must be so had for you and your family. I feel sorry for your brother also, it must just be so hard, for addicts to let this life go.

It's very hard to watch someone you love so caught up in an addiction, to see the desprate things they do and how they hurt themselves. I've learned that first hand the last few years too. I will say a prayer for your brother and your family.

Tammy- i'm soo sorry all of this is happening with your brother right now sweetie. My prayers are with you and your family. I hope your brother will soon realize that his life is worth living and seek out help to break his addiction....if that takes a little time behind bars to sober him up, then maybe it's for the best. I'm keeping you and your family in my prayers
