Best cat toy

We went to a red themed birthday party last night which included red helium balloons. We took a couple home and attached one of the kitties toy mousies to the balloons, so the mousey floated above the cats heads.

What resulted was the best cat toy ever. The cats chased the mousie around the house for ages, and provided us with much entertainment!

I'm sure we'll spend the couple of $ in the future to get a couple more helium balloons for them to play with - it's well worth it!

So here's the video of them playing. I had to put a music track to it to drown out our laughing...

That is too cute! That is such a good idea too! Walmart sells small helium tanks to use for birthday party balloons. Maybe you could get one of those so you can bring out the fun balloons whenever you (or your kitties) want.

ohh! i gotta try that with peanuts!! though knowing her she'll proly SOMEHOW catch it and pop it then get balloon everywhere! haha...maybe not though...

My luck is Anya would climb as high as possible and go after the balloom rather than the mouse...

We thought they'd go for the balloon as well, but they were to excited about the mousey to care about the balloon.
