Ok im a little confused because I been reading up on kittens and cats in my cat book well I do know that Stormie is part manx and stuff and she is gray with some patches of peach but they look like they arent there as much anymore...also her eyes change colors around the black part (sorry for not knowing the names
) it is green then it is gold after that and sometimes it looks like her eyes are green and other times gold..but the green is always around the black part...is that normal she is going to be 6 months really soon...but in some breeds their eyes change colors but thats the problem we dont know her other breed
im sorry if i sound weird but u no me and my reading...is her eyes always gonna be like that or do u think they will eventually change to green??

When you mention "change" color, I include mine because at about that same age (five months) his eyes started getting a LOT darker, from a light blue to a dark blue but that is a normal characteristic for my cat. My cats books say that their eyes settle into their new and permanent color by around 3 months but the color may continue to intensify as he matures. Perhaps your cat's eyes are just intensifying color as the books suggest?

Both Cairo and Paris had very golden color eyes for the first 8 months. Then as Paris's color patches started changing shape and becoming larger, her eyes slowly turned green. Now 90% of the time you look at her she has very clear green eyes. The other 10% she has a gold ring around the green part. I have no idea what that means though.

Dukes eyes are like that. They are almost purple-blue around the "pupil" (or black part
) and very pale blue around the outer rim of the iris. When his pupil dilates (gets bigger) it seems like the darker part gets pushed out and his eyes look like a deep blue.

Heres a pic as a kitten of about 2 months:

and here's a pic at about 6 1/2 months:

His eyes haven't really changed much in their color/intensity...

Shami's eyes change color within minutes. His goes from light green, to yellow, to gold, to orange, and then to deep amber. Seems to be temperment related. When he's relaxed they're more green, when he's worked up they're more orange.

He's a heartthrob and he knows it! LOL! I've resigned myself to the fact that he has a lot of admirers. Of course, I think I'm his biggest fan (Even DH comments regularly on how cute he is!
)

I noticed last night that just on the very outside edge of Dukes iris is a very dark blue outlining. Thats probably the reason why his eyes look so dark (like they've changed color) when his pupils are dilated. I'll try to get another pic this evening that shows this.

Cats that have the gold/green eye color can do more changing like your cat. It depends on the lighting and the mood of the cat. Charlie's is listed as "gold" but at times its more green looking - doesn't matter in an ocicat except that they can't have blue eyes on the 12 colors accepted.

I think the ones that are the "ghost tabbies" that pop up have blue eyes simply cause they are the siamese throwbacks that occur once in awhile.

It's rare to find an Aby with really green eyes - not unheard of, but rare...most Abys have golden eyes and in some lights, they do look green!
