Okay when I first wake up I can't move for a bit because my hands and my feet go numb when I am in bed and if I don't sit right and that varies my feet and legs will go numb, and get that tingling feeling. And once I went to get up and didn't realize that my legs were asleep and I slid to the floor when I tried to get up. And when I am talking on the phone I have to switch hands or my hands will start getting numb. And my aunt says its inherited from my great grandpa because her and my uncle do the same thing and so did grandpa. And I was wondering if anyone else has this trouble.

Have you ever been to the doctor for this problem? There is something called neuropathy that causes numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Sometimes it is related to blood sugar problems. I would go get checked out if I were you.

It's poor circulation. My hands and arms will go numb sometimes too. But I also lay on them at night. I have to sleep on my side all the time with one arm up and used as a pillow... I can't sleep any other way or my back hurts.

Carpal tunnel might make the hands go numb. Both hands and legs sounds like a circulation problem.

I agree. You might want to check with your doctor to see if there's anything they can do to help you with it. (and to make sure it's not something worse)

If it were just your hands I would think it is carpal tunnel syndrome in which case you could wear hand splints when you sleep - it can be aggravated by many things including job related. However, since it effects your feet also I would agree that it sounds like a circulatory problem and you could have it properly diagnosed by a neurologist. Hope you get some relief soon.

That's what I was afraid of too when my hands & arms started to go numb. They did a whole bunch of tests but nothing came back as wrong.. I still think it's the beginnings of carpal tunnel though.
