It has been very very windy here in So Calif, My allegries and stuffy nose have suffered alot, I noticed tonight that Sissy's nose sounds so dry and I think it could be from the wind. When I first got these Cats they were all sneezing and I called the Vet and the Gal told me they had many calls about there cats sneezing, She said it was probably something in the air and they ended up being perfectly fine. .So has anyone else experinced this with there cats, she seems fine other then that. She does make some strange little noises but I think that is her way of purring as she has never purred. And Poor Zoie's nose sounds really dry also, our Basset. Thanks in Advance

You're dealing with a Santa Ana Wind, which is usually bad for allergy sufferers. A vaporizer will do wonders for those dry and stuffy noses. I use a Voronado (the more expensive ones lasted only a month each; this one is a simple, easy to run workhorse that does not cost a fortune.)

I also have two Blueair filters because poor Gizmo is asthmatic. This has done wonders to get rid of the molds and dust in the apartment. So Cal air is so bad it can sometimes be chewed. Air filters are a very wise investment.

You might also try an anti-dustmite detergent for the laundry. This has been effective for me as well.

While it might be contradictory to recommend a vaporizer AND a mold remover, the air is very dry in winter and you must maintain proper humidity. Gizmo and I both had nosebleeds last winter; this is not being repeated this winter.

Good luck with your babies.
