There are pansies in bloom in front of the bank next door to my office, and we broke records for high temps today - it hit 63 degrees in Boston.

SO strange!

And, of course, my motorcycle is all locked up tight in winter storage.

SIGH...

Here in Ontario it's about the same, above freezing and the buds are starting to come out of the trees, at this rate we will have apples in April.

I love pansies, they are happy little flowers.

Actually it's a very serious concern. If flowers and trees start to bloom and we get hit with some really cold weather and snow, it can actually damage the plants and trees or downright kill them.

Our ice wine makers are very worried as well. They need several days of at least minus 8 degrees in order to prepare the grapes for harvest. Ice wine is already mega expensive - this could put it out of range price wise for many of us since there is the chance the crop this year may not be able to be harvested.
