Do not schedule dental work the next day like Aaron did.
Poor Aaron.

They are getting you coming and going Suzie! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Awww...Susie! I'm sorry you have to go for more tests. I know it's nasty to go through but, hopefully, it'll be worth it when it's over and you won't have any more pain.

They sure are Heather.......and now my primary doc calls today about the cat scan I had on Saturday. That came back fine, but she now wants me to make an appt with a urologist because although the bacteria was gone from my UTI right before Chrsitmas, it still had a little bit of blood in it. I didn't see anything. That's all I need now. A urologist! I'm trying so hard not to freak out!

If one of these tests could diagnose and then solve my pain, it will all be worth it!

My father had a colonoscopy- they gave him Picolax (very strong laxative which results in sips of water going from one end to the other) and he was very dehydrated and confused on the way back home after...

I hope you have family to take you home after

I also hope my father never finds out about the £20 I took from his wallet

I hope that all these tests turn out well for you!! Keep smiling.

You'll get through it just fine, Susie. I had an endoscopy a couple of years ago. I was out for it and not a problem. And you already know about the prep for colonoscopy from Jerry's experience. But sending you happy surgery vibes anyway]]]]]. And big hugs!

Hey! You sound like me, except instead of stomach pain I have weird frequent nausea/vomiting spells. I had the "combo" as my GI doc calls it about a year ago. I felt some pain during the colonoscopy, told them that, and they gave me a very nice sedative hypnotic and I forgot the rest of the whole thing, didnt even realize the endoscopy was done until they were like "Wakey wakey". Before that part, when I was locally anesthetized and was still conscious, they were letting me watch the colonoscopy, and man...WAY cooler than any cheesy medical animations you see on ER or House. Anyways, I was fine later that same day, no pain or residual discomfort....
I certainly agree the colonoscopy prep is the worst thing. I had to drink 3L of a horrid saline type (said solution is designed to cleanse without dehydration) solution called "Golytely". And let me tell you, I did *not* go lightly ...still, only took a couple hours. Peglyte is a similar solution but is not as godawful tasting as Golytely....Good luck!!
