Well, I just live in a postage stamp-sized apartment. But, my parents live in a 5BR 4 full-bath (one with both a shower and jacuzzi tup
) house with an additional study in the basement. They have an eat-in kitchen, laundry room, family room, living room, dining room and finished rec-room basement. Also, a screened-in, tiled porch.

My trailer has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Just enough room for DH and I!
When we buy a house I would like 4 bedrooms and either something like a rec room over the garadge or something like that. I think we have about 1,000 sqft.

Well as most of you know this spring my dad is building me a house and it will have three bedrooms and two bathrooms a living room and a kitchen upstairs, my bedroom will be 12x14 foot and dads will be 14x 14 foot I think. the spare bedroom will be 10x14. Downstairs in the basement it will be like another living space. Dad likes for two stories to go down instead of up due to the amount of tornadoes in our area. In the basement he is going to make a den, a small extra kitchen, my computer room/ library. So I can finally put my books back up. Another bathroom that will have a toilet and sink of course and a standup shower. We will also have a laundry room down there and perhaps an area for me to begin working on interests such as quilting. In my computer room I plan on putting a chair and an ottoman so I can read down there in peace. And I also plan on putting a chair and an ottoman in my bedroom so I can watch tv without hurting my back by sitting against the pillows on my bed which don't keep my back straight enough. And I plan on doing my room in roses and I want to find a pastel green for the paint.

I think that was a rather large description of the house my dad is building but I am very excited about it and the time to start it is getting closer.

being space hogs we have three bedrooms ( one has two rooms for dressing rooms so it used to be a 4 bedroom house) five bathrooms, living room, den, kitchen, office, studio, workshop, home gym, dining room, library and an art studio over the two car garage. It is far from typical. 4500 sq feet.

I have gone into nauseating detail on:

Wow you are pretty much all living in a bigger space than me! I have 1 sitting room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, seperate toilet, and a kitchen. We have more space than a lot of people who live in London. We're on the 2nd floor (which in US terms would be referred to as 3rd floor). No outside space. This costs us the equivalent of $1100 a month. Which we can't really afford, but there's nowhere cheaper so we're stuffed really.

Well, I just live in a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment, living room/dining room, full kitchen and a deck/patio. But my parents house, the one I grew up in, has 3 bedrooms, 2 fulls baths, living room, dining room, kitchen, back porch, full deck on the back with a big backyard- along with a front porch which was used as the toy room when my mom did daycare, but is now my room when I come to visit

Its plenty big, I told her I want them to move it here so I can live there too

Ever since my mother remarried we've been in 4 bedroom-2 bath houses houses. (5 kids plus 2 adults!) Their current house is the one we've been in longest. It also has a living room, kitchen, and big family room addition. Mom's working on getting her kitchen remodeled, then after that will be enclosing her patio into a sunroom.

3 bedroom 2.5 bath. It technically has 4 bedrooms. But- when we tried to sell this house many years ago (dh was leaving the military and we had to look at all of our options) the realtor said that it's not a 4 bedroom house b/c bedroom #4 has no closet (we finished it off ourselves), even though there is now a bed in there. It's not very big- esp with 4 of us here (and 2 almost teenage girls) but the backyard backs up to non-tidal wetlands ( ie woods).

I wouldn't sell now if I had to. Not only do I love my backyard and the "critters" it attracts (we've seen foxes, deer, raccoons and opossums, squirrels and tons of birds), but we just replaced the HVAC unit last year, and this year we replaced all of the windows- I got a bow window in my kitchen that I LOVE (Sneaky Pie loves it too

Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, diningroom, livingroom -upstairs; downstairs family room and utility room. One of the bedrooms is Rob's study, another is a guest room, and the second bath is the ensuite in the master bedroom. I'm lousy at estimating area, but it seems to me I recall Rob saying about 2000 square feet at some point. Pretty typical late 50s construction, in a neighbourhood that very clearly was a development of semi-detached houses with probably about 4 variations on a theme.

I tried to convince dad to put in a bay window and he definately didn't want that. But the window sils will be deeper than the little storm windows we have in this old trailor and she is one of those cats that can sit on anything. And I intend on putting up some more hummingbird feeders and maybe a bird house for the cardinals but I don't want it too close too the house because I don't want them bothering my hummingbirds.

We have a 3 bedroom 1 bath with a dining & living room and a huge kitchen. It is an old (107 years to be exact!) farm house with 2 acres of land. We are blessed with ceiling to floor windows that the cats throughly enjoy!

I have a small (1200 sq ft) house. It has 3 BR, 2BA, living room/dining room combination and small kitchen. One bedroom is for my computer and bookcases and the cats think one bedroom is theirs.

Oh I am so envious, I have never even seen a hummingbird except on TV. I would love to have them feed outside of my home

Movin' on up!
I currently live in a 2/BR, 1-bath triplex and am in the process of buying a 3/BR, 2-full bath manufactured home, on about 1/3 acre. It has a large eat-in kitchen, a laundry room and a large fenced back yard.

My parents own a 5/BR, 3-bath home, with formal living room, dining room, breakfast area, family room, mother-in-law suite and pool, on a corner lot.

My new b/f has a custom-built, two-story house, with 3/BR, 2 1/2 baths, formal living/dining rooms, family room, office, upstairs sitting area, laundry room and 3-car garage. My whole apartment would fit into his master suite. Roy also has a huge walled-in back yard and plans to put in a pool and spa.

Which part of London do you like? I ask because it's a huge place and I don't think anyone in their right mind would choose to live where I do
I live in the only part of London I can afford (barely) and I only live here because of work - and it's still a 1.5 hour commute each way. There are many places in England I would rather live. In fact pretty much anywhere! I'm a rural girl at heart

Nothing out of the ordinary, 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, with 2 car garage. If we could change one thing it would be to have a basement. We can only fit one car in the garage because of all my husband's junk!
