Are you an early bird or a night owl?

I'm really more the "day" person. My "Sleep-in" days I sleep until 8:30, 9:00 am if I was up real late.

Otherwise the rest of the week I pretend to be an early bird. I'm always ready for a nap at 3 though.

I used to be a night owl. I would stay up until 3am and then sleep in until noon. Then I moved in with my boyfriend, got a full-time job with regular hours, and adopted two cats. Suddenly I'm up at 5am every day (even on weekends -- thank you sooo much, Spike!
) and I have to go to bed at 10pm or I'm completely useless the next day. I do enjoy being up in the mornings, however; I get a lot of things done.

I'm a natural night owl, but due to my job(s) I am forced to be up early, 5 a.m. during the week and no later than 8 on the weekends, but most people know not to talk to me until at least 9

Neither! I am always tired (blame that on being anemic) so I try to be in bed early, and I have so much trouble getting up in the mornings!!

Give me a weeks vacation and I will fall asleep at 10-11 and not wake up until midday! Then I am back to sleep around the same time. 8 hours just does not do the trick for me

There is no such thing as morning... it's a myth. I don't know why but daylight gives me an urge to sleep. I can be fully rested, but I can always take a nap when natural daylight is present.

Early bird--up at 5am during the week to walk with my neighbor and my dog for and hour or so. This winter has been great with the warm weather, but will be happy when its at least light out when we get home at 6:30. Like to be in bed by 9:30, but that doesn't always happen.

When I was a child, I slept about 10 hours a week (bad, scary childhood, long story), but when I was in my twenties, I started sleeping.

I love my sleep now, but can stay up all night easily. Getting up is always difficult!

Cheers, from

Under a stack of blueberry waffles.
Night owl usually (with a touch of insomniac), but having a day job has completely destroyed what little structure my sleep schedule had. Now I do most of my sleeping on weekends and get between 2-6ish hrs a night if even that. :/

Hmmm... I noticed that quite a few of the posts were between 11:00pm and 7am... Lots of night owls!

I'm a little bit of both. I like to stay up late because when everyone else is in bed, I have time to myself... ALONE!
But then I get up around 6am. So 4 hours or so of sleep at night seems to be ok for me. But then again, I LOOOOVE to sleep. Don't TRY to get me up on saturday or sundays!
I'll go to bed at like midnight and won't get up till 12 if I didn't have to!
