Thank you all so much.

I suppose I should be used to this by now. January 27th is the 7th anniversary of Mom's passing.
December isn't usually this hard, but January always is difficult. And Ron's passing really hit me today. I'm not really sure why, except that he's always been around for as long as I can remember. Although I can't know for sure, I'm pretty sure he played Santa for my sister and I at least a time or two when we were little, particularly the year I had Scarlet Fever on Christmas Eve. It's a pretty special memory for me.
I think it's a cumulative effect, too. So so much, for so many people...

You have had so much to deal with in such a short space of time that you must just be overwhelmed. I hope you find some extra strength to cope with it all and have the support you need right now. Love and hugs from here.

Even though they don't know that they have many people thinking of them right now, it's sure nice to know that they do. Thank you all.

Unfortunately I have 2 more to add. Another of my co-workers lost his best friend from childhood just before Christmas, and couldn't even make it down to the memorial (he lives in the mountains) because of Storm #2.
To add to that, his neighbor passed away just before New Year's.

Like my friend/supervisor Kim said today when I told her about Ron, I really hope this isn't a sign of how this year is going to go.

Hope that you're getting all the sad stuff over with early -- there's already enough there for the year!

for you, Heidi, and hopes that all these families affected by deaths will be able to come to terms with the tragedy in time.

I'm sorry things are a bit overwhelming right now.
Hopefully your share of sadness for the New Year is over. I'm sending good thoughts to you, and the families and and freinds of those that are gone.
