Hi!

I saw the Happy Friday thread but didn't want to ruin it with my own cheer. YeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaw!
I am on vacation in less than 5 hours!

I have so much planned for my week off. It'll be my first time at home alone. My 'baby' started school this year. He'll be going on Mon-Wed-Fri next week. I'll still have 2 days to spend with him.

I am renovating and decorating (same thing???) a few rooms around the house. And then, on friday, I have an appointment for a manicure, pedicure, massage and facial. Can't wait!

I am finishing all these last minute things at work because it is year end.

Have a great day everone and an even better week-end!

Hope you have a great holiday next week Gys! My car pool driver is also on holidays so I guess it is back to the bus for me (2.5 hrs each day to get to and from work). There is another gorgeous day in Toronto, sunny and warm. We could really use some rain! Maybe on the weekend. This weekend is the 22nd Terry Fox run for cancer. What had started as a Canadian event has spread to 50 countries aroung the world. In 22 years they have raised 300 million dollars for cancer research. Check them out at run . I hope everyone has a great day!

Once again, I have nothing at all planned for the weekend - YYYEEESSS! After working all week, I like having the time to unwind and do nothing if I don't want to. Well, I do have to clean up some, and I should do some unpacking. The stacks are getting smaller, but we haven't gotten everything put away yet. Actually, I have no idea what to do with all my books. I probably should find some used book store to sell some of them to. I have way too many and no where to put them. I'm sure some of you guys can relate!

We had some major thunderstorms move through yesterday. One part just southeast of where I live got so much hail they had to bring out the snowplows to clear the roads. Another part northeast of me got 3" of rain in less than an hour. It is great to see all the precipitation, though. We need it so bad. Earl said that Ophelia sat up on the kitty tree and watched it rain. The thunder didn't even phase her. Silly girl, someone walking freaks her out, but huge thunderclaps don't bother her at all.

Enjoy your week at home Ghys!

Ady, bring a good book to help you pass the time on the bus. Good luck - I think I would go nuts with a commute like that. Good thing it is only temporary.

Have a great day and wonderful weekend everyone!

Happy Friday to all! It has been a loooong, rough week for me. Very busy at work and on Monday we were told that there were going to be layoffs this Friday. UGH! Today, our boss told our group that the layoffs were actually going to occur next Friday, but that there would not be anyone let go in our group. Whew! She could have told us that on Monday and saved all of us a very stressful week. But, better late than never I guess!

Going out to Happy Hour with my future in-laws and brother and sister-in-law tonight. I need a good beer or 6!

Tomorrow we go to sign contracts for our new house. We are SO excited! But writing the big check will be a challenge! It is always so hard to part with so much money at one time.

Sunday will be the usual kick back and do nothing day. Get up whenever, make a nice breakfast, read paper and watch the NASCAR race on TV. This is a typical Sunday in our house and I love it! It's my favorite day of the week. Nothing to do but what we want to do...all day long.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe weekend.

XOXO from Jedi!

Well, it's a special day for me! Now that the baby is home, I won't have to keep the phone line free all day. I was so afraid there would be news, good or bad, and I'd be here at the CatSite. Of course I'll call frequently, because the baby's so small, but I certainly feel a lot more confident now. It's a huge reminder to me that I have so much to be grateful for! I hope you all have a great weekend, and I hope we get some much needed rain.
