I'm off to Weight Watcher weigh-in for the first time since before Christmas.
I don't expect it to be too great. I could use any "skinny" vibes anyone has to spare!

How did everyone else do weight-wise over the holidays?

I lost a little bit over the holidays- but only because my GI problems were acting up....and unlike a lot of people -there are only certain foods i can have -so i didn't get to enjoy all of the yummy holiday stuff as much. (((((((weight vibes)))))))))

{{{{good weigh-in vibes}}}}

I honestly thought I'd gained over the holidays, because I was bad and didn't journal for a few meals and because I ate waaay more than I normally do. I was bracing myself for a couple-pound gain, but in the end found out that I'd actually lost 2 lbs! May you have the same good fortune!

Sending "minus signs" your way!!
My WW weigh-in's are on Thursday's so I had to go a few days after Christmas - right after the holidays.
I was freaking out cause it was the first week I had ever used my 35 allowance points - and I had used them all!!! I lucked out though - there still was a minus sign in front of my number!
Not a big one, but as the lady said - a minus sign this time of year is rare.
Good luck to you! and just remember what they teach us - don't let it get you down if you have a bad week. Holiday's only come once a year and they're done now, so let it slide if it's bad and move forward.
I still have to weigh in this Thursday which will cover my New Years, but I stayed home this year, so I hope it's good!

Well, it wasn't good, but it wasn't as bad as I had feared. I gained 2.2 lbs over the last two weeks. (I'm part of an at-work program that meets on Tuesdays, so we didn't have a meeting the day after Christmas.)

I've been doing Core for a while, but I've switched back to the Flex plan starting today. I'm sure that a little bit of measuring and journaling will get me right back on track!
My exercise class also starts back up on Thursday, to that'll help, too.

2lbs in 2 weeks is not bad at all this time of year!! Good for you! I do the flex as well. I was going to try core, but absolutely none of the foods sounded even remotely good to me.
I need my junk and my chocolate every now and then so I'm better off measuring a tiny portion of chocolate then going nuts on somethin I don't really like.
I just discovered 2 recipes over the weekend that I am nuts for now. If you like junk food.
Baked tostitos (20 of them) and 1/4 Fat Free cheddar cheese. Melted over the chips in the micro for 1 minute. Nachos!!! and only a total of 3pts for the whole plate!
Also - cheese chips. Ever try these? My kids went nuts on them and ate them all on me.
1 cup part skim milk shredded mozerella cheese, 2TBSP parmasan cheese, 1TBSP flour. Mix and drop by the TBSP'fuls onto a baking sheet (sprayed with Pam). Bake 5-7 minutes. To die for!! 1 pt per chip. Which could be drastically reduced with the FF shredded cheddar. Havn't tried that yet.
I am a junk food junkie so anything I can make that resembles junk food and it low in points - I'm all over it!
Now.....my weigh-in is in 2 days.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me cause I'm 1.9lbs away from my 10% goal! That was my mini goal for the New Year.

Good WI vibes headed your way!

2.2 lbs isn't bad at all; actually, that seemed to be about the norm at my WI on Saturday, and there were relieved smiles all around. One woman my leader mentioned -- from a different meeting -- gained 10 lbs over the holidays!
I cannot even begin to imagine how angry I'd be with myself if I'd gained that much: that's more than half of what I've lost since October! On the other hand, we were discussing the damage we do to ourselves over the holidays, and it came out that the average person (not the average person on WW, but just the average person in general) gains between 5-20 lbs over the Christmas holidays. Five to twenty pounds! So, whether you gained, maintained or lost, just remind yourself of what you were capable of in the past, and of how much better you're doing this time around.

Edited to say: Lisasha, those snack recipes sound fantastic!

Skinny vibes for you, I have never had to diet in my life but I have watched my 3 Daughters struggle all year for many years. I am just the opposite I need to gain some weight, and with Hubby going to the UK for 10 to 12 weeks I hope I have enough brains to eat some decent stuff while hes gone, Or he may not find me

I've lost almost 70 lbs so far on WW, so I'm not going to get too upset about gaining a couple. But I KNOW I could have done better if I had tried a little harder. Oh, well...time to just get over it and get back on track.

Lisasha, I've done Flex in the past, too. In fact, I tend to kind of switch between Core and Flex. It's a lot easier for me to do Core when I'm traveling because you don't have to measure and track. But I know what you mean about the junk food. Those 35 points a week go fast!

Next time you make nachos, try adding some seasoned black beans, lettuce, and tomatoes. It only adds a point or so and you can squeeze a serving or two of veggies into your junk food!

I'm going to try those cheese chips. They sound great (and I love cheese)!

I'm also sending YOU some skinny vibes now, so you can make your 10% goal!!!

I can tell you honestly that something happened to our scales while we were away on vacation. You just cannot trust electronic scales, something to do with the humidity or something.

Due to having the "norovirus" my weight stayed about the same. Not too much terrible eating going on-I still don't have a good appetite back yet which is ok!!
But I have slacked off on the fruits and veggies which I have to change pronto.

Wow! 70lbs!
You are now my idol.

I completely understand what you're saying about traveling around and that's probably why I have no problem with flex. I'm pretty much always either home or at work so it's easy to measure things and after a while I've gotten pretty good at guessing the portion sizes when I absolutely have to. I think I would have a tougher time trying to remember the foods on core. It's all personal preference though and what works for you right?
I will definitely try adding some lettuce and tomatos to the chips. Not big on beans though so without those it shouldn't add any points. As for the cheese chips - do try them!! but in case you get addicted to them you might want to mix the skim mozarella (which isn't that bad for you as it is) with some Fat Free shredded cheese. Then maybe you can have 2 chips per point!
They are sooooo good. It's just like when a grilled cheese sandwich drips onto the pan and the cheese starts to get brown around the edges.
