Ok 2 of my cats Annie Rose a 3 year old Snowshoe and Nazumi 7 month old Bengal mix have been umm acting like they want to mate. Now if they were both fixed I wouldnt think that was to strange. But Annie was spayed at the end of August or beginning of Spetember. And Zumi has been neutered for a couple weeks. Annie has been doing the in heat motion and shes swollen down there too. I know shes been spayed.
Nazumi also I know was fixed. So I dont understand why they are doing this! Nazumi hasnt actually hooked up or anything he just mounts her for a second them jumps off and acts normal again. After I noticed Annie was swollen I stopped letting them near each other. I was wondering if a spayed female can be in fake heat? Ive had neutered males do their thing before. But never seen a female let them. Any ideas on this? Im not positive if this is the right forum or not. But anyways Annie has an apoinment for Friday to get wormed again. So Im gonna ask them then to check her out. But I was wondering if anyone else had heard of that before?

I have heard of some tissue being left behind after a spay and this causes a heat cycle. What I have heard is that it usually resolves itself after one or two cycles but they do sometimes have to redo the procedure to remove the last of the tissue. Even if this is the case she can't get pregnant it is only a small amount of tissue that was missed. It can take up to a month for all the hormones to leave a male after neutering so it is possible he is reacting to the female being in 'heat'
