"Waiting for Gertrude"

Just have to call attention to Waiting for Gertrude, which I have just finished. From the dust jacket: "Delightful, whimsical, and utterly fantastical, Waiting for Gertrude is perfect for literature and music buffs, Francophiles, and of course, cat lovers!" Absolutely true. Enthusiastically recommended. I already loved Richardson's writing, this is a charmer.

I've never heard of it before, but it looks fascinating. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it at the local library.

I wasn't aware of it, either, until I was searching Amazon for "something cat" for a gift a while ago. As I said, I really like Richardson, so it attracted my attention, and I ordered it on spec. Decided it wasn't right for the particular situation, so put it on my "stack" and ended up sticking it in my bag when we were going over to the Island last week. Great ferry reading. Hope you find it.
