My laundry room is at the end of the hall going out into the garage, we cut a cat sized hole in the door going into the laundry, then put a pet door between the laundry room and the garage. My husband built a two story enclosure and covered it with regular door screen. There is a hole in the floor of the second story, for easy entrance to the up stairs. This enclosure has room for three litter boxes, and has a door on the front, facing into the garage. I can go into the garage, open the door, clean the litter, remove the boxes when it is "complete" cleaning time. My cats have no trouble using their box, and when I introduce a new cat, which I ocassionally do, I have never had one refuse to use it. My neighbor was so impressed that he sent a carpenter to my home to see how this was constructed, as he was having litter box issues, and now he too enjoys a home free from any cat smell. I use tidy cat multiple cat litter.

This is what my sister did too (at least the laundry room to the garage pet door part
). Keeps the toddler from playing in the ''cat sand'' too!
