I was home for lunch watching Time Squad on Cartoon Network, and you wouldn't believe the commercial I saw. Care Bears! Back and just the same as the ones when I was a kid.

They have also introduced new cartoons for Transformers, He-Man, and GI-Joe, with corresponding toy lines.

And I thought of 7CozyCats when hubby told me this...They are bringing back Strawberry Shortcake. Both the toys and the cartoon!

When I was in the hospital with Amber, one of my best friends, Shannon brought in a stuffed Care Bear for Amber!! All the nurses kept coming up and asking me where I got it, they didn't know that Care Bears were back on the market!
It is so cute, too!!!

I wish I still had all the Strawberry Shortcake stuff I had. I had the Strawberry Trolly, the dolls that smelled like their scents (Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Merangue, Blue Berry), I had the little dog and a couple of other little things that I can't remember. Oh, I also had some of the record story books and the metal lunchbox.

I still have my CareBears.

yes i know!! when i was looking for a signiture i visited many shortcake sites. i read about it on one of the sites. i wish i had a spare room to collect the old stuff. i do have lots of strawberry shortcake and care bears stationary for outlook. mine 9 year old thinks i'm nuts. what can i say? from age 4-14 i was an 80's child. the world was a better place back then. anyway the picture i saw of the new strawberry shortcake is different from the old one. she's a little more hip. nothing is ever as good as the original.

i feel old too debby. i'll be 27 soon. that is so close to 30. i remeber my mom listening to 60's and 70's music when i was a kid and teen. back then i thought she was so embarassing. but now i know how she feels. the 80's and early 90's are so important to me.
