I saw one of my cats do the weirdest thing to another one of my cats. Piper and House are 7 month old Bengals, brother and sister,spayed/neutered.

As I was blow drying my hair Piper was up by the window looking at the birds like she normally does. Usually House and Piper are doing this together. So in comes House, he jumps on the counter by the window and goes up to Piper from behind, and grabs her scruff with his mouth. He then proceeds to pull her from the window sill onto the counter, then jumps of the counter with her, her scruff still in his mouth, then he proceeds to drag her out of the bathroom. I was shocked, I have never seen anything like it. I mean Ive seen their mom drag them by the scruff when they were very young, but I've never seen this happen.

When they play he sometimes grabs her scruff, but its all part of play, hes never actually pulled her from the windowsill and dragged her across the room before.

Piper didnt seem to mind at all,she put up no fight and when he finally let go they just sat next to eachother and licked eachother.

Why would he do that?

I've seen my four 8 month old boys try to grab the scruff of their sister (Yon). She won't let them.
They do not fight about it only end up play fighting. All of them are fixed. Maybe someday Yon will let herself be grabbed and dragged by one of her brothers, who may have proven to her that he is the strongest or most handsome of the bunch.

I think cats do strange things like that every now and then just because they are bored with the same old routine. My wife tells me all the time that I am doing something weird and asks me why I am doing it. I just tell her I was bored with doing the same old thing. I see no reason why this would not be true for cats.

It's a male-over-female dominance statement and most male cats will do some version of it to some female cats over time, neutered or not. Unless he becomes aggressive about it, I wouldn't worry.
