Is photoshop the only way to make a siggy? I would love to try, but I don't want to do all that. I have photo editing on my computer for resizing and emailing, is there anyway that can be used?

Also, from the way it looks and what I have read so far, the procedure is to cut out their heads and lay it on a chosen backround?

I'm trying to think of a way I can do a lesser/easier/cheaper version of a siggy.

Not everyone uses photoshop and there are certainly cheaper (and even free) software out there, most of the siggy makers who use photoshop use it for work or something else and probably wouldn't pay that much just to make siggies.

You can also get trials of most of the software from their maker's websites, depending on what software you do have, it probably can be used for siggies of some sort. If you look at the siggy of Zissou, that can be done in most software by applying a paint effect and cutting/resizing the whole image.

If you do want to try photoshop/PSP download the trials and give it ago, and if it works out as not being for you, post them in the siggy requests thread and one (or more) of us will make one for you
