What are you going to be drinking?!?......

I have 3 bottles of Asti to share that are chilling in the fridge, and we also have some vodka and cointreau left over, so we can either do Cosmos (if we get cranberry juice) or pomegranate martinis (if we get pom juice). Cosmos are in my top 3 favorite cocktails, so we might do that!
Being as how I live in Chicago, someone is going to come find me and kill me after I type this, but GOOOOOOOOO PACK!!!!!!!!
(Also, prosecco is really, really good in bellinis. Just puree some frozen peaches and add a few spoonfuls of the peach to the prosecco and YUM!)
The hubby will be drinking brandy and beer and i will be drinking tequila shots with salt and lime.
For food, we are having crackers, smoked sharp cheddar, mild cheddar and summer sausage. Yummy!!
We will probably put in a movie or something.

We have goldschlager, sambuca and vodka. A good shot to do with goldschlager is liquid cocaine. Its goldschlager and Jagermeister, and some recipes will tell you to put bacardi rum, but I don't use that.

I can't drink because of the meds I am taking which doesn't bother me.. because I don't drink anyways although I am of age to drink.

It is currently 8:30 here, and I have a scotch beside me. In a little while I'll take a pork tenderloin out of the freezer to prepare with veg and Thai Green Curry and Jasmine rice, which will be served about 10:00 with a chilled bottle of Hawthorne Mountain Gewurtztraminer. We will take our time over dinner, have a few mincemeat and goatcheese tarts for dessert, and be ready to pop a bottle of Veuve du Vernay (French bubbly, but technically not Champagne) in time to toast the New Year. What bubbly does not get consumed tonight will go in our orange juice with brunch tomorrow.
