I grew some cat grass for Gizmo in the usual small round plastic container.

Today I realized with some shock that it is still healthy and green after nearly three weeks. I was lucky to get it to last for three or four days, before. Same brand as usual...so what did I do differently?

Maybe it's because I watered it with the filtered water that Gizmo and I drink, instead of directly from the sink?

If this is the reason, then what, I wonder, is in the tap water?

I got my cats some cat grass. It is already 2 inches in some spots. I have only had it for like 4 days.

I got one of those Chia Cat Grass things for the kits for Christmas from my Daughter and by golly it's growing
I think I may have needed a 55 gallon drums worth though for 8 cats
Not just a little pot

It depends on what the grass is ... cat grasses can be wheat , rye, barley... a mix of or some more exotic species...

Funny post, but it's just oat and wheat grass.
A Chia pet for the pet sounds like just what I need. I wonder if they are expensive? or breakable? Does the grass last for a long time?

Yes, I saw it for sale. A bit pricey. How long does the grass last in there?

I bought a bag of seeds they sell at the pet store and the wheat grass lasted for about 3 weeks. I thought that is the normal life, isn't it? I only watered the plant with the RO water we have at home.
