My Christmas present to myself arrived just a little while ago
New lenses and lens filter sets for the Nikon D50.

Soooooo, of course I'm doing some playing around

It's times like this I miss having a telephoto zoom lens for the ol' Canon AE-1 or a working body for the Mamiya lenses. I wonder how long it will take me to save the
for a nice digital.....

You can get a nice digital inbetween $200-100.

I think she means a digital SLR or similar. There is no way that you could get a pic that close up with that resolution on a one- to two-hundred dollar camera. Digital SLRs are worth the many hundreds to thousands.

I'd love to be able to afford one of those types of camera - that picture is beautiful and you can see the quality. It's so vivid that if you look closely, you can see the reflection of you holding up the camera, in her eyes.

Oh WOW, you're right...I'd not even noticed that myself. I can even see the leg of the camera's tripod.
