Hello, I'm new to TCS

I have three beautiful fur babies, Taffy, a grey tabby who is 6, Geeker, a tortie who is 5, and Winkie, a huge orange guy who is 3. All three of them are rescues. For many years I have worked with a cat rescue, and I always have extra little ones in my foster home. I am fortunate that I have a seperate building for my fosters that is heated, air conditioned, and has a stero that is on all the time. I also have two isolation rooms for the sick babies that come to me. I have had the opportunity to work with a Vet, in clinic and in surgery. Fostering is almost a full time job, last year I had 97 cats and kittens come into my care. Every cat/kitten is tested for feline leukemia, recieves shots, is wormed, treated for fleas and spayed/neutered before it leaves our care, and goes to a home of it's own. Since retiring I have really found my place in the world, just helping all those little ones that have been abandoned or unwanated.

Please SPAY & NEUTER. No more kittens should come into this world until every one that is here now has a home of it's own.

Hello and welcome to you, Taffy, Geeker and Winkie. What a wonderful thing to do in rescuing. You will certainly fit right in around here. Cant wait to see pics of your fur baby's.

Hi welcome to TCS, everyone is right u will fit in here and u are doing such a great thing by fostering and rescueing babies urself all my cats are rescues except for Bella but I count her as that because well she found me and Stormie we found on line but when we got her she was very sick and infeasted with fleas and ear mites and has a bad URI!!! But I cant wait to see photos of your babies we photos here well cant wait to see u on the forums

Hi & welcome to TCS! Bless your heart for taking care of so many...that's an amazing number. I almost jumped off a bridge after fostering 18 feral cats & kittens over a few months. I can't imagine the numbers you're talking about!

You're an angel and a sister of the heart! THANK YOU for your devotion to felinekind, and for your important message on your post, which I just can't comprehend anyone who loves cats not following -- ah, well, there's no knowing with a lot of people, is there?

Your cats sound wonderful and I hope we get to see some photos sometime (the Sticky's at the top of the page of posts gives the site requirements and instructions). Look forward to seeing you all here, and hope to chat!

I'm sure you are feeling quite welcome by now- looking after stray cats must be rewarding but it isn't something everyone has a temperament for. I feel you'll be purrfectly at home here at TSC...

O Silent Nate and Radar:

Radar must be kin to my Tarifa, who loves "skywalkin'" on our living room recessed-lighting soffit. I'd post a pic, but I can't as I have dialup and have been unsuccessful in the past. Anyway, just wanted to admire Radar and thank you for championing spay/neuter -- IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO!
