They took away my Photobucket!

I went to log into photobucket today at work to show you guys the picture of Dans grandmother's Ragdolls and the worstest most evilest thing ever happend.....ITS BLOCKED!!!

My work blocked photobucket. I am hurt!
I spend most of my time on TCS when I am at work since I am here from 3pm-11 and thats the best time in the WHOLE WORLD!!!!!

What the frick man!!???
I'm a good little girl and I dont download boobies or share nudie pics on here...why take it away?

Well I guess you guys have to wait till tomorrow am or tonight around midnight to see the pretty ragdolls and the unique mainecoon I got shots of this weekend.

BUMMER!

My husband's company also blocks Photobucket. I think a lot of them do.

I can get onto a lot of stuff at work, but nothing to do with games, or "questionable" stuff. I've never tried to go onto Photobucket at work - I kind of suspect it would be blocked too.

My company blocks a lot of sites that have large bandwidth items. This includes any sort of streaming audio or video downloads.

The oddest thing is happening too...
no siggy are showing up for me..including my own and only some pictures are showing up in threads....what the heck did they do? completly mess up my life? owww!!!!

I have that happen at work all the time. Have you ever noticed that your work's "banned web page" thing makes you feel guilty? Every now and then I'll have it pop up, and at that moment someone will walk by and ask loudly "Hey! Are you trying to look at Porn again?"

Ours wants to you log in to the "banned web page" because they put it on a Sharepoint machine requiring logins. Like I'm going to login into a page that announces to everyone that I'm trying to view banned material.

I feel like yelling at the helpdesk people saying "hey i wont look at porn if you just let me do photobucket! i promise to be a good girl" and then bride them with baked goods!!

Yea we block photobucket also,they also block cnn, bbc, all search tools which means no google no yahoo etc. I know some control had to be put in, as it was telling us people where spending more time surfing the net then working. But there is such a thing as going overboard. it really suck when i cant even read the news at 2am, and i am even a network admin .

Uh, I feel your pain...my work blocked TCS FROM ME!!! Imagine me at work so bored NOT posting, actually WORKING

I wouldn't be able to do my job. Google groups is my main source of programming info.

its rough. part of IT is being able to find the infomation you need when you need it.
as people can tell my spelling sucks. I used to depened on the wedster dir online version to help me in my paper work, i cant even get there anymore.

yea, that was how i found the catsite, its not blocked. And since i had cats i kinda stayed around. hmm i guess that was the only good thing that came out of it.

Work went through a phase of blocking everything except internal pages and the company website and then each time we wanted a website we had to ask them to add it, they would check thr security and what it was for etc and add if they deemed necessary to our work. We got them to add logmein.com (sometimes we need info off other computers) and connected to our home computers to browse so now they just filter adult content we can surf.

They used to use websense at my workplace, but they got more calls about it blocking legitimate sites than it was worth. I have no idea what the limits are for what we can search, but I have heard some crazy stories about sites that have been viewed from here...olderorgy.com is a site I did NOT need know existed and do NOT wanna know who was looking at! As TroutsMom would say - EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Erica, it's probably cause of the video's on photobucket. My work blocks any & all sites that have live streaming video. Apparently there are alot of viruses & other bugs that hide in those video's, whether the original poster put them there or not, at least that's what our IT guys tell me. As soon as myspace got video's we got blocked from there too....it totally sucks! I feel your pain. But you can use another photo uploading site instead....try flickr.com I've started using them, and so far I haven't had any problems.

yup, I can only see pics or siggy's of people that use photo sites other than photobucket.... like icklemiss21, skippymjp, amberthebobcat, reesespbc, kaibengals, or any attachment....it sucks. But when I see someone posted something I'd really like to see, like pics of their baby, I just hop online & home to check out that thread.... pain in the
